Lauren Riihimaki, better known to her 6.7 million YouTube subscribers as LaurDIY, is launching a new Facebook Watch series called Served By LaurDIY. The series is produced by SelectNext, the production arm of leading digital talent outfit Select Management Group, which was also behind This Is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous and Eva Gutowski’s Me And My Grandma for YouTube Red.
According to the show’s description, Served By Diy “is for [Riihimaki’s] foodie friends who love cute, easy, and Instagrammable goodies.” Each week, she will share a new recipe, with episodes running roughly 2 minutes in length and featuring overhead shots not unlike those used in Tasty's viral clips. “My YouTube channel is all about doing it yourself,” she says, “and I think snacks and fun treats are totally DIYable.”

Another personality-driven series has arrived on YouTube Red. Me And My Grandma, which is led by YouTube star Eva Gutkowski and Rhea Perlman of Cheers fame, is now available on YouTube’s subscription service.
In Me And My Grandma, Gutkowski portrays Janey, who moves to Los Angeles with dreams of becoming a star. To help her on her way, she brings along her grandmother (Perlman), is ends up being much more frank, forthright, and daring than Janey is. As the series’ trailer shows us, Janey and her grandmother will spend the episodes bickering with one another, assisting each other on work-, friendship-, and romance-related matters, and encountering top YouTube stars such as Joey Graceffa and Gigi Gorgeous (both of whom have starring in projects of their own on YouTube Red).

YouTube Red may have a hit on its hands with Rhett And Link’s Buddy System, but the fledgling subscription service just released the trailer for yet another highly-anticipated outing: Me And My Grandma, a comedy series headlined by the enormously popular lifestyle vlogger Eva Gutowski.
The series is set to premiere on March 22, and, unlike previous YouTube Red shows, the service is going to release all six episodes at once for binge viewing, Gutowski shared today on Twitter.
Me And My Grandma, first announced back in August, co-stars sitcom veteran Rhea Perlman, beloved for her role on Cheers. In the series, Gutowski’s character, Janey, moves to Hollywood with her grandmother to pursue dreams of becoming an actress -- only to discover that her grandmother has Hollywood aspirations of her own. Rounding out the cast are Kayla Ewell (The Vampire Diaries) and Shelby Rabara. By the looks of the trailer,...

Eva Gutowski, one of YouTube’s biggest lifestyle creators and the forthcoming star of a YouTube Red series titled Me And My Grandma alongside sitcom legend Rhea Perlman, has just shared her latest venture: her first-ever book titled My Life As Eva: The Struggle Is Real.
Published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, and hitting shelves next Valentine’s Day, the book will chronicle funny moments in Gutowski’s life, including “living on a diet of ramen noodles (and the occasional lucky maple poptart), to getting dumped not one -- not two, but three times in high school,” according to a description on the tome’s official website. My Life As Eva is currently available for preorder.

While YouTube Red executives have said the service’s chief distinction from competing subscription platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime is the fact that it will spotlight homegrown digital talent, the Google-owned platform is increasingly looking to inject Hollywood stars into its growing original programming roster.
Following the news yesterday that Grammy award-winner and auto-tune maestro T-Pain will be playing himself in the upcoming Smosh feature film Ghostmates, which is set to premiere on YouTube Red on Dec. 14, it was announced that Hollywood veteran Rhea Perlman will star alongside influencer Eva Gutowski in her forthcoming YouTube Red series titled Me And My Grandma. Perlman, perhaps best known for her role on Cheers, will play Gutowski’s grandmother.
