Though 'iMedium (2016)' occasionally 'cheats' its found-footage style by including shots not from the POV of its protagonist's phone, it's still an effective and almost manically paced horror-thriller that isn't afraid to get dark when it needs to. The concept is interesting, filled with subtle satire and the distinct potential to be expanded beyond the scope of just a few minutes, and the execution is generally rather solid. It gets more interesting as it goes on, since it's initially a little disorienting and it sort of throws you into the unknown. It has a strong sense of atmosphere throughout, though. It is very fast paced, whizzing past pretty much all of its beats in a way that kind of makes it feel like some sort of extended trailer, but it's ultimately more of a short, sharp burst of energy than a frenzied mess. It works well for what it is and is generally rather unique. 6/10.
