While overlooked in the public eye, Dragonslayer Doppelgänger is a cult classic worthy of its devoted followers. A cinema masterpiece, this film marks Michael A.L.Fox's directorial debut. While a classic revenge tale, Dragonslayer Doppelgänger breaks the mold thanks to Fox's unique vision. His avant garde cinematography and direction offer a truly emotional experience. In each scene, the love, sorrow, and anger is palpable . These intense emotions are brought to life through the combined efforts of actor and director. Michael A.L. Fox and Ryan Letourneau make cinema history. One cannot help but notice the raw emotion from method acting genius, Ryan Letourneau. Living as a High-T brute for months, Letourneau inhabited his character's head space, and his devotion to the craft showed on screen. The music and shot composition further add to the wonder of Dragonslayer Doppelgänger. However, the piece de resistance is Fox's use of slow motion. The sparing use of slow motion drives the emotional weight of each plot point home. The only glaring problem with this film is the fact that I cannot experience it for the first time again. Hopefully this isn't the last we will see from Michael A.L. Fox.
