This is brilliantly acted, with a wonderful set piece speech by the dangerously charismatic Moseley. To all the Americans who think it's about Trump, the world is bigger than the US of A. Oswald Moseley is an ACTUAL historical figure, go and google him. Moreover, if a parallel is being drawn, it is with the current state of the UK and the dangerously charismatic figures cheerleading Brexit. America, you're welcome to watch, but do please remember... it's not about you.

Is amazing how no one said something about the outstanding skills of Sam Claflin. I mean he really did an amazing job and this speech is top of the top. Peaky blinders had became a place where great actors make some even better characters. I´ve got literally chills seeing this speech. The passion and the camera were top notch.
The awkwardness of the Peaky Blinders´s are an amazing proof of the unsettling speech....
I will forever remember this episode as the time were Sam Caflin became an amazing actor.
Paul Anderson is giving a superb performance here!!!!!!!!

I have finally stopped laughing at the yank reviewers who are silly enough to think Mosley is a did at Trump ...FFS ...anyone with any historical education knows he was a real MP who started a real fascist political party ...that year ...so this is just following the correct timeline and to weave him into the rise of the Shelbys is genius ...the only link to trump Is illustrating how Mosleys appalling movement was spawned in the depression following the American Wall Street crash So he could use this on the ignorant and those leaning to the ultra far right in England ..however England kicked Mosley to the gutter ...bloody shame about Adas man though ...and the documents ...the scene between Ada an Tommy was however flawless ..

Even for a sec when i thought that the episode gets boring NOPE nothing is boring this episode is the best yet and ive enjoyed it so much like every part is so intense and interesting u are so invested into the story and u just cant stop. and the action in that one was the best!! just watch it.

I get it... a lot of Hollywood writers were obsessed with Trump - and parody's popped up a lot (SNL, Homelander on The Boys, multiple antagonists...). So when a new character pushing fascism shows up on a series, I can see why some made the leap.
But with Peaky Blinders - when there's a new character of any prominence - (especially a politician), I pause the show and do a quick internet search. The writers weave a lot of real people in with the fiction - which I find really fun.
It turns out Oswald Murray was a real British politician that started the British Union of Fascists (BUF) in 1932. (Before WW2 quite a few politicians worldwide were giving fascism a chance.)
His name might have been well known in Britain, but I'd never heard of the guy. Neville Chamberlain and Winston Churchill - of course I'd heard of... but a 1930's British politician and the father of Britain's fascist movement? Not so much...
Might the writer or the actor playing Murray borrow some Trump traits? Who knows, maybe - but after reading up on Oswald Murray, I think the writer - and the actor playing him (Sam Claflin) - did a great job capturing Murray in both physical looks and the intensity Murray must have had as he pushed for fascism and his fascist party.
Good episode and great setup for the season (series) 5 finale.

Another slow episode which hopefully is laying the groundwork for a big season finale.
Legendary Birmingham band, Black Sabbath appear on the soundtrack in this episode but it is only the characters that seem to be Paranoid and someone does Die Young. An not-so-elegant-looking swan is another highlight.

I'm left here really unsure about my feelings about what happened in this episode. Lot of messed stuff happened but Tommy's got a plan and we got Arthur back to prime form now that he's freed from his wench of an ex-wife.
I'm actually really upset that Linda isn't dead. I really wanted to see that bible-thumping freak go out hard.
It's also so funny looking back at all of the fascist Trump supporter snowflakes getting upset over a TV show LMAO.

Although I've been enjoying this season it doesn't feel as cohesive as previous seasons. Episode one didn't really go anywhere with the story other than show the Wall Street crash which in the long run has done almost nothing except bring back Michael who himself has had little to do. Episode 2 was incredible and introduced us to the Billy boys in a tense and exciting way but that conflict was very quickly put on hold and without a direct conflict for our main characters the show loses its weight and sense of urgency. Episode 3 was decent but was paced... interestingly, to be polite and episode 4 like 2 was a very well made and tense episode but once again this week's episode has made last week's events obsolete. It doesn't really feel like the characters or the show have a clear goal at the moment and that really detracts from the enjoyment. It's still much more watchable than most of what's on television but ultimately lacks what made Peaky Blinders great in the first place.

This episode was not bad and compelling. The stakes of this episode show what can be lost if Tommy's plan doesn't work out. Ben Younger and the child's death shows just how powerful Tommy's enemies are... Tommy was very balanced this episode, and it's so interesting to see the layers of his morality and how he feels and where his moralities lie. Arthur is so damaged this season, so it clear this episode would be another episode showcasing his evolution. Ada's admission of her feelings was very raw, and Polly as well as the side characters were good. I'm excited for where the season finale will go, but this was a good episode with phenomenal acting and memorable cinematography.

Kate Phillips... wow. What a performance girl. Even my cat reacted at her crying... A cat. It was so believable I almost cried of pain myself as well. After seeing her in The Crown" (Venetia I believe her name was) we've never forgotten her, even for a five minutes role. I'm so glad that I've been able to seeing more of her here... she's so expressive it's insane, and at the same time she's so serene as well... I don't know how can she create such expectancy. She is that Marilyn that most blonde actresses want to be. Yes I said it! I hope we get to see more of her on further shows.

His speech at the beginning was so moving. When he was introduced I thought they were going to paint him like a villian, rather than just opposed to Tommy's ideals. Glad they gave him his moment in the sun before they inevitably knock him down.
It would be cool to see an alternative timeline where Tommy and Mosley take over, but I imagine they'll stick to the relatively true to life version.
Other than that, great episode, jumped right into it and kept it rolling. Pretty standard episode, all the usual good music choice and character intersections but Mosley completely steals the show, even does the American Psycho look back during sex lmao.

I would love to say that PB as of season 5 has become a parody of itself. However the truth is more sinister than that. Where PB was once ruled by character development and depth, surprise twists and a superior cast of actors, all PB is left with circa 2019 is a collection of fantastic actors reading ludicrous plot summaries for an audience that's wondering what the hell is going on and why? I never needed PB explained to me even though I am a red blooded Murcian. The plot thickened and exposition occurred in due time and that was fantastic as it was. Now plot is explained to the audience as if they are stupid and anything that could be possibly be construed as a shock/surprise arrives as a telegraph to the audience usually in the first 10-15 minutes of the episode. I thought PB was showing cracks in season 4 yet I still had an undying love for the characters and the world Knight has created. Season 5 however is a tipping point it started bad had a very minor rebound and ended in a fashion where I no longer have any interest whatsoever. I was legitimately rooting for the demise of all the characters. I understand the show is historical FICTION and I am as liberal as a human being can be but the presentation of the past through the lens of an idealized present has helped ruin the show. I am witnessing the unfolding horrors of trump in real time I do not need it presented to me in fiction form where I am attempting to escape it. The demise of this show should be 100% placed at Knights feet he has too many irons in the fire and is just throwing out diminishing return after diminishing return. If he ***** up Taboo god help me. PB is now unwatchable

It doesn't interfere with me enjoying good art and Peaky Blinders is among the best.
Yet, show some nuance.
Mosley's speech was ham-handed to the extreme. It made sure it hit all the bases in case we were just too stupid to get it...you know, because Americans are simply too idiotic to understand the depth of your message.
And we're the deplorables?
