Excellent interview with Tom Savini who discusses his 1990 remake of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. Savini starts off talking about how he got the job and from here he goes into details about the rather troubled production. This is certainly a wonderful interview with the director who doesn't hold back when it comes to talking about the various issues he had in the production. There are some great details given about various scenes that weren't filmed because of Savini being told they didn't have time. The director also opens up about the divorce he was going through at the time and while all of this added up to him hating the project. There are even some stories told about alternate cast members who came close to being hired. Fans of Savini or NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD will certainly love this featurette because the director is talking non-stop throughout the running time and being brutally honest about his thoughts and feelings. It's really a terrific interview and he also gets questioned about a rumored drug use during the production and George Romero taking over as director.
