this has been a -- mostly -- very good series.

As is so often the case, the first season was the best. However, there has only been one terrible season. Number 3 or 4, I can't remember which. At its height, the show combined great action sequences with great emotion and character development. Also, for the most part, good plot lines paralleling current headlines.

Sure, it's time to wrap it up, but this season has had a good premise (USA vs. South America) and good action. The emotion is missing. All in all, well done.

Poor dialogue and development.

The Last Ship

Episode 5.09 (3 out of 5 stars).

The series finally reaching its conclusion. Chandler and his Nathan James crew closing in on the villain Tavo. The characters arc are finally reaching its end. It does have its emotional moments with some characters meeting their end. The script is still shallow with poor dialogue. The action is kept minimum and off screen.

I'm just waiting for the first review, "This is by far the best episode this season!" ...to go along with the fake thirty 10/10 votes lol.

Season 1 was awesome, then they hired agenda driven activists instead of writers. Hollywood sucks.

Warning: Spoilers
Not horrible, but it feels like they're just throwing death around for no reason other than to try and shock us. There is so much more that could be done from a storytelling perspective across the board.

Not as bad as last week's but still cavitating, please end it already

I have invested too many years in this show to stop short due to ridiculous lines, acting, and stories.

So many things just border on the ridiculous.

I wish it ended at least a season ago, then I wouldn't be so negative on this last one.

This show has simply become ridiculous. Glad it is finishing. Sailors who are special forces, pilots, politicians - all in one. Simply totally unbelievable and rubbish

Do Not End this Series

Do not end this Series.

Entertainment Rating 8.

This Series is so Entertaining as to how ignorant the U.S. Public actually is about the U.S. Defense of U.S. Military, U.S. Intelligence Agencies, U.S. Department of State related U.S. Defense Activities, and other U.S. Agencies.

Accuracy 2.

Today's Modern Warfare, even after a Disaster as the Continuity of Government Plans, How the U.S. would respond, 4 Member Teams (ODAs) of U.S. Army Special Forces of Hispanics dressed as that Nations Military would be inserted. Their Mission Locate the Enemy Leader(s), Military Command.

The National Security Agency (NSA) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) would be in Command from a CIA Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) location known only to a few people, not even the U.S. President.

The CIA's MQs (Armed "Drones") would launch NSA Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) monitors to determine where all the electronic signals directing Enemy Forces are coming from. U.S. Army Special Forces Teams (ODAs) would be directed to verify each location and whom is there.

Upon Verification, today as high resolution digital photographs from electro optical long range reconnaissance equipment, the CIA would then have MQs (Armed "Drones") flown to target(s), the U.S. Army Special Forces Teams would then secure the area to prevent escape, and start using laser designators to target the Enemy Leader(s). A series of Air to Ground Missiles (AGMs) would be launched, flown into the windows of the building(s) by U.S. Army Special Forces laser designators while watching with long range electro optics to make sure the Leader(s) did not escape.

To make sure of a kill, U.S. Air Force Special Operations Wing aircraft carrying 1,000 pound smart bombs would target the building(s) just in case the Leader(s) some how got into underground bunker(s) as what happened at Iraq. The 1,000 pound smart bombs were set on delayed detontation, penetrated into the underground Iraqis reinforced concrete bunkers, then exploded.

So nope, no World War 2 storm the beaches, resulting in Unnecessary Deaths, and Unacceptable Losses any more. As like running across a U.S. Football Field while being shot at by Enemy machineguns.
