  Lawrence Dooley : Whoa, there's something weird about this lid.

  [Lawrence knocks on the inside of the lid, making a hollow sound] 

  Zack Kwan : It's a secret compartment.

  [Lawrence gasps, opens it, takes out the piece of paper that is inside, and unfolds it] 

  Lawrence Dooley : This is ancient. Like before nineteen eighty. There's some kind of writing here, but it's too faded to read.

  Zack Kwan : Well...

  [Zack gently takes the piece of paper from Lawrence] 

  Zack Kwan : I don't think this is a prop at all. This thing looks real. It could be a huge discovery.

• [Mr. Finn enters the classroom, where Lawrence is sitting at Summer's desk and Zack is sitting at Tomika's desk] 

  Dewey Finn : Hola, brochachos. Squirly Greg translated the letter.

  Zack Kwan : Is it a declaration of war?

  Lawrence Dooley : Battle plans?

  Dewey Finn : No. Better.
