A song that I got accostumed over the years, one of Eurythmics' best though it wasn't all that popular in here - reasons unknown or maybe because "Sweet Dreams" is what people mostly associate the duo with. Annie Lennox performance is always enchanting and magical with her crystal clear voice followed by David A. Stewart's musical talents.
As for this particular video, despite the song/music the only quality value it brings to us is the colorful, bright and unusually advanced cinematography of it - I can't believe this was done exactly in 1989, it has a more 1990's vibes or even 2000's, it's not dated at all.
Lennox, Stewart, an enthusiastic drummer and the strings section people all appear in fast edited style (cut, cut, cut) where we are exposed to see their reactions to every single word spoken by Annie. She carries the song deep inside and puts all of her emotions in front of us in this in sort of non emotive break-up song, at the same time there are countless of frames where Stewart keeps staring at us deep down our souls with his with a mysterious expression. In short, it comes from the series "music videos where the band just lip-synch and perform", nothing else. Manageable. 7/10
