Great movie about unlit part of history

This part of Ukrainian and Soviet Union doesn't illuminate in history books in Ukraine and Russia. The movie is opening the curtain how much German settlements were in Odesa region and South Ukraine. The tragic fate of the German people, who chose the Russian Empire as a new island of hope for a new life.

Terrible

Lacking direction. Unfocused script. Acting ranges from wooden to cardboard.

There are many better movie on this worthy theme and in this setting.
