A Disappointment
tammyaphillips22 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
SCANDAL has always been uneven in its story lines, great in its acting. Remington, Liv's kidnapping, James' death and all of Harrison's lack of scene time were minuses for me. I tolerated Rowan and B316 because I am a long time fan of Joe Morton. But, the pluses were many, including all scenes involving the forever-forthright Marcus, David and Abby, Huck and his family, Quinn and Charlie, the entire campaign-election storylines that dominated seasons 5-6, crazy pony tail girl and all scenes with Liz and Momma Pope.

So, you must understand my shock at how tired the finale was. All this talk about White Hats and you kill off David and leave Cyrus. If you want some good SCANDAL, go back to seasons 1, 2, 5, 6. Goodbye Liv.

Not a nice ending.

Warning: Spoilers
Everything was good, excellent i think. (considering the decline of the show since season 5). Like I said, everything was good, until 13 minutes before the ending. The last part of the episode, this strange "plot twist" or revelation was intended to be heroical, but for the contrary was ridiculous, unexplained (if you permit me that term), and simply absurd. The final minutes make a slight recovery but the damage was already done. The ending could be better, much better, but also could be worse. As a real fan of the show since season 1, I have to say that I'm "satisfied",with the ending, but if you're not a real fan or for the contrary you're a completely insane fan, probably this could be one of the worse ways to end the show.

I can see why some people did not like the episode, but I thought it was good. Papa Pope, is still Command.

Season 7 - anti-climactic snooze-fest
EllieMBlake13 February 2023
I finally watched Season 7. Overall I was disappointed. This used to be a show I loved. It was my guilty pleasure. The characters' storyline seemed inauthentic. The pacing was so slow. The magic of gladiators and plot twists were lost. I was bored and easily distracted. The flicking between character point of views between episodes was an interesting device, but perhaps made the show's flow awkward and prevented the immersive quality we love about TV. There were some memorable characters, but you fell out of love with all of them in season 7. Also, it became too preachy and agenda based, rather than true to its season 1 roots.

Over a Cliff - that's where I'd rather be...
smmtomas-5296826 April 2018
There's not much to say after one of the most disappointing and weak finales ever made... Since Liv's kidnapping back in Season 4 the show has been down the hill, and now, finally, over a cliff... How I wish I could throw Olivia and Cyrus over one myself!

Good Guys
stefan-mclaughlin28 June 2018
It's difficult to determine who the good guys were in this show. This finale was terrible and this show never lived up to the grandeur of its first few seasons.

Having watched the finale I'm as disheartened and disappointed as I was with so many finales. Sons of Anarchy is one that springs to mind but this one is comparable to Lost. This ending was the biggest waste of time since Lost.

If you're looking at grabbing this on Netflix or Amazon. Or on demand. I would advise to give this a wide berth. The main protagonist (Pope) has been a dispicable character for a good many years.

Absolutely tragic anti-climax!

Warning: Spoilers
As the finale of a seven series run, this episode was seriously lacking. The over acting of ALL characters was (almost) funny to watch and the 'poisoning' of Rosen scene was like something from a school play! Everything wrapped up WAY too neatly and if anyone can believe that Mellie Grant is Presidential material, well . . . . I can say, I stuck it out through good and bad for all seven seasons but I really expected something special with the last episode - unfortunately, it didn't happen. Very disappointing.

Terrible
albazak21 July 2019
Worst way to end a magnificent show. It betrayed everything that made Scandal an amazing television series. Lackluster, lukewarm and poorly written. The only reason I don't give it a lower rating is because of Kerry Washington's excellent performance.

Awful finale
jmlaso-0676225 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
From season 5 ahead it turned (more) ridiculous... My faul continue seeing it, but kill the only good guy at the finale and nothing happens to Rowan and Beene?? Really?? End the end I hated Olivia's character. Charlie, Huck, Rosen and maybe Quinn where the best ones. Terrible finale. Lol.

Disappointing
I loved this serie. Since the beginning until this last episode. A lot of things happened in this episode that were not quite understandable. I've watched this serie for the past 3 months, because I really like it. I was expecting more

Absolute Garbage
Thanks God this series is finally over! The only reason to watch was in he hopes that Olivia Pope would be killed off.

Fitting end to a joke of a show
kjwilson757 July 2021
This episode is a perfect microcosm of the entire series in that is garbage from beginning to end. People need to be ashamed for letting this show drag on for so long. You're better off watching the first five seasons of house of cards. Better story, directing, acting. Can't wait to see what other trash shonda rhymes vomits out.

Disappointing to say the least
denniskilonzo-277597 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The ending was rushed and spoilt the juice of what the previous 6 seasons stood for . There is no happy ending for any kind of power. Wicked as i may sound , we should have experienced the full blow of B613 , the full power of Rowan and the accession of power of Cyrus to presidency .. Because this is what real power depicts . Over the cliff should have been all the good guys thrown over the cliff. The Deception , the lies , the murders ,the blackmails, the coverups and sexual scandals are what made SCANDAL a success. The directors could at least left us with jaws open after seeing how real power operates. I'm one disappointed viewer.

However Olivia's role was pivital in that's series and would have loved to see an Annalise Keating and Olivia Pope Spin-off.
