Things Begin to Boil
Hitchcoc17 June 2018
We begin to see the issues. We have a woman doing charity with he no-good husband child abuser trying to gain status. We have children beginning to disappear, a child found murdered and every indication that there are more possibilities. Meanwhile, Marcella continues to have her blackouts, with fragmented memories of violent activities.

Disturbing slow mover

A slow episode. It seems like the first series that it could have been done in fewer episodes. Familiar faces make it difficult to concentrate on the storyline but Keith Allen and Nigel Planer do well not to get any laughs. Marcella being watched makes things a bit interesting. Hopefully, things will pick up soon.

RUMMBLE, CRASH, SQUEAL, SCREAM, BANG, LOUDER BANG ETC.

Please, make a version with the "sound effects" toned down a tad. Why does it have to be so bloody noisy? The stories are basically good, the acting is good, the writing is good, the photography is good, but the bloody sound effects are ridiculous. STOP IT AT ONCE! Impossible, I know, but it's the one feature of this series that may deter my further interest in the series.

Warning: Spoilers
I am sorry but this episode did nothing for me. I am not invested in this case and it feels like they are going to give us a million diversions just to kill time until things pick up during or around the finale.

Continuity error

When Marcella and her family come in to her house they bring 5pizzas. When they leave no one appears to take the pizzas. When Marcella is on her own again, not only at the pizzas gone from the table, there is a lamp on the table where the pizzas used to be. I'm not sure if anyone else noticed
