I think this was probably the funniest episode of the series and again an episode that tries to do its own thing rather than be a carbon copy of the original Porridge. Even Meekie gets to breakout and be funny.
Fletch's radio station is doing well and his cheery tunes keeps the prisoners dancing and even the guards and the governor. I think some of the sight gags were an homage to The Full Monty.
However Joe's antics is getting up Fletch's wick and when Fletch's appeal is delayed it means sad songs on the radio. Three Cure songs and a James Blunt 'B' side gets the suicide hotline to heat up.
Some pathos at the end between Joe and Fletch especially as Fletch thought Joe had gone off.
