Could have been better

'Projapoti Biskut' is one of those films that promise and tend us to offer something different and end up offering a confused concoction of indie and mainstream. The story concerns a young couple based in Kolkata, their difficulties in conceiving a child, the societal pressures they have to deal due to that and finally how they overcome their difficulties to lead a life on their own terms. Aditya Sengupta is brilliant as the nerdy Antor, who hesitates to take a decision on his own living under the shadows of his parents and his brother in the family. Isha Saha, as the lonely Shaon is good, though the portrayal of different layers that her character had to offer could have been better. The side characters are brilliant and that is what which keeps the film on track throughout. However more is said about Rajatabha Datta and Aparajita Auddy, the less it would be. Some witty dialogues and well-crafted scenes offering us the mentalities and the insecurities of the middle class make the film give us a slice of life we deserve. Late into the second half, the movie goes off track quite a bit reducing its overall credibility. To break away from the shackles of the approved norms that the society imposes, the drastic steps taken by the protagonists are so abrupt that it seem unnatural, phoney and in some cases a bit juvenile. This is the place where the movie takes a clichéd turn. A more matured approach was expected from the characters who are shown to handle such serious issues throughout the film. The tunes are hummable and are in line with mood of the movie. Overall, 'Projapoti Biskut' is an entertaining watch and the characters do stay with you after the film though it might occur in mind that given the premise that the film had set up, the movie could have been much better.

A new genre

The movie was based on some simple stories which combined made it exceptional. The artists were so good (specially the main character) as well as the screenplay and direction. A new type of struggle which I haven't seen in another movie. The style of telling such a simple story in this kind of awesomeness makes the movie somehow creating a new genre (I think this an experimental one).

Do you ever love someone ? then this movie is for you.

Simple story, simple cinematography with some magic. simple thing seems magical when you have a good heart. Here you will see a trouble couple, their effort to adjust with others along with some typical social demand. here you will also see a bridge between a modern culture and religious culture. So beautifully crafted with an amazing cinematography and the music is just that you will listen, listen and listen. Hats off to the whole team who created this masterpiece.

Slow movie with no entertainment

First half was watchable second half is very slow and this is not at all a good film. There is zero entertainment..

This film may be not received by all audiences.Some might say they don't like the characters,that is different thing. But if someone says this movie's making is not good and acting is not quite good,then I have something to say against them and I would say they haven't watch this film with total concentration. I was lost in this movie the whole time.the acting of this movie is so good.Music is mindblowing.Many little little things have been shown,that is wonderful.We everyone have some sorrows. There are some good time.That is what this film shows....I suggest to see this film to make your mood good.

The first half was watchable. The second half was asinine and atrocious.
