Well worth your time out

Well there you go - something i haven't seen before ! Im not sure how ill go watching the rest of the series, however i had a great laugh at the crass humor in this pilot episode. It seems that there are still some writers out there who have the wit to heal our collective sadness - what a relief .

Just enough crazy to keep me watching!

I kinda wanted a show like this for awhile one that I didn't have to take too seriously (walking dead, game of thrones) where I'm not analysing seeing if that could actually happen or not that's because this show is aware how nuts it is and it takes it by the throat and squeezes all the crazy they can get out of it. I can understand if this show isn't their cup of tea I mean I thought I wasn't gonna but here I am. What really drew me in was will A: a animed talking horse like come on and B: the cast they've pick thus far has not dissapointed me. I've watched the next 2 epi and I still can recommond the show if you've enjoyed this one. Let's see how far this crazy train goes!!

Warning: Spoilers
Ok...first of all...I think everything else was done well except for the opening...I get it. You needed some cliche way of kidnapping a young girl. But why did it have to be a mentally handicapped child. She has some kind of mental disease that is not explained. She went to get closer to the stage and ended up like a mile away and then she started calling to the man on stage as though she were close to it???Did this make sense to anyone else. The mother is handicapped as well as when the daughter says she cant see, the camera conviently pans to the person right next to them that shows the kid sitting on her dads shoulders...and yet the woman just shrugs at her child.... WHat the what? Everything else seems natural in the episode...but this opening...man its bad. Rest of the show was surprisng and funny as heck.

The ODDEST Focking Gritty Couple
nebohr5 October 2021
I give it a nine because it is so focking gritty. Happy begins with Sax hovering over a nasty ass urinal in the classic puke pose, coughing and spitting up blood. He then walks to the bathroom mirror, spends a few moments gathering his thoughts, then begins to hallucinate that he has shot himself in the head. Yeah. Shot himself in the head. An absolute fountain of blood erupts. The scene then morphs into a disco dance floor where he begins to dance, splashing blood on the other dancers.

The show is all about polar opposites. Sax is heavy-hearted, angry and self-destructive. Happy is free-spirited and whimsical.

Maybe figure that out for yourself before you vote.

Pilot

Warning: Spoilers
Syfy's programming may not always be the best, but you cannot deny that they are adventurous and willing to take risks with what they put on the air. Happy is clearly not going to be for everyone, it is a show that moves a million miles an hour, will be violent and dark, but that's what hooked me in.

It is far from perfect. At times it feels like it was written by a 13 year old who just destroyed his bag of Halloween candy, but it is a refreshing take on some of the slow-moving shows they usually trot out on TV these days.
