"Stump Day" is awesome if only because it has all the characters at the end of the Season 3 intro in one place together! Hey, we finally got to see Tom and Janna interact! I totally ship them. The plot is that Star's birthday is the same as Stump Day and she's afraid the Stump will get mad it isn't celebrated more. The best part is probably when they all say that they're willing to die together. That really is a very powerful scene. I guess Stump Day is meant to take the place of Christmas, but it's a strange substitute. ****
"Holiday Spellcial" takes place inside Star's wand and features the all seeing eye as a new resident. The eye ends up showing all of the bad things that the inhabitants have done, but does eventually lighten up and show the good things they did too. It's great to see all of these colorful characters together back. It's nice to see unicorns with full bodies. I'd love to see how they'd interact with Pony Head and her family. ****
