Not just for Korn fans
starliteyes277 April 2019
Even though I am a huge Korn fan. It really dives into Heads relationship with his daughter and the unexpected turn he took when he got clean...the end had me crying.

A guide to all Father's

So many laughs and tears watching this. It is SO raw and so REAL. What an amazing Dad he is! If there is only one documentary to watch, make sure this is on your list.

Authentic and Real
kris-3562511 June 2019
This cut created by the film crew relives Brian Head Welch's life on the road and what he was going through in his struggle to be reborn and care for this daughter. Leaving his dream proved very hard and you see what he goes through in honest interviews with him and his family. Meant for true fans of his music but encouraging to anyone who's ever gone through addiction, inadequacy, hardship, isolation, or depression.

Made for christians or KoRn fans

Warning: Spoilers
Kudos for the filmmakers for making a very polished and somewhat gripping movie about Brian Welch, the lead guitarist of KoRn. The problem here is that his story is not that interesting. I would argue that it's so stereotypical that you don't even need to see it. I found it very hard to empathize with the heavy drug abuser rock star that is a terrible father and suddenly finds god to becomes a role model. I can see Christians and KoRn fans liking this movie, but as I am neither I was not impressed.

This will speak words of life

Thought provoking, real, insight into the pressures of being one of the greatest heavy metal artist. Brian is real and shares his life in every detail. You don't get a clear in sight into any rock star as close as this. Brian does not candy coat anything. An amazing real life documentary. A must see for any heavy metal fan and father.

God's Plan is Bigger Than We Could Ever Know
arhoads-5094116 February 2022
I was a childhood believer turned teenage know it all non-believer turned I'm content with being a good hearted moral agnostic. Then 2 1/2 years ago, my 18 year old son was killed and my 16 year old son spiraled down into depression & suicidal thoughts while my husband & I battled addiction, learning how to live without the one thing we swore we never could and learning to not want to die every single day so that we could be here for the son we still had left here on this earth living & breathing. My contentment with being agnostic was very much gone now that I HAD to know if there was anything after this life. Any hope of ever seeing my son again. I'm not an easy sell & the road getting here over the last 2 1/2yrs has been anything but friendly or fair. The question of "why God" and "is there really a God" and "if there is really a loving God then all of these terrible things over & over would not be happening" flew around like leaves in the wind. It is so hard to realize that God's plan is so much bigger than just me! It is so much bigger than just my family, my town, state, country, race. God's plan is about ALL OF MANKIND!! We can never understand all the pieces of the puzzle nor should we expect that bad things will only happen to other people because for some reason I am just much more special than everyone else. We are suffering from the wickedness of sin that God will one day take away forever! I have come to know God & know that this life is not what we are fighting for. It is what comes after this life that we fight for! This movie clearly comes around full circle to illustrate that very fact! That this show we call life isn't just about us, but is about a much bigger picture that was drawn long before any of us were ever even thought of! When you live this life fighting for what you want today or tomorrow, we are set up with the probability to be let down in a world full of so much sin and feeling like there can't be a loving God with so much heartache! But when we realize that this life will be as a blink of the eye compared to what we are promised after this life, our reason for continuing to fight no matter what happens becomes unshakable! Nobody can take that away from us! Great real & raw movie! Thank you so much for sharing!

So glad I randomly caught this on cable

So as a 90s kid who watched TRL... ALWAYS. I remember seeing freak on a leash and being stunned bc it was unlike anything I had heard b4. So I remember seeing Brian in the white outfit where he's getting baptised. I couldn't really understand why he was parting from the band.

Anyways fast forward to 2018 and my reintroduction to Korn. So I'm listening, watching, buying all things Korn related. I saw them in concert with Alice in Chains, it was AWESOME!... But back to this documentary, it was really brave to be so open with ones life but it's even more difficult to discuss ones parental shortcomings. Brian, his daughter, his parents, and bandmates were all incredibly honest. I respect them all for being so brave in the face of addiction. U will not regret watching this!

Raw and vulnerable!
ackolotylo-269-12124226 August 2019
Real, raw and vulnerable! The story of a father-daughter relationship that will leave you better and filled with hope than when you started watching. I believe it's a must see for everyone, whether you're a Korn fan or not. Addiction (drugs, food, shopping...) plagues everyone at some point and it doesn't get more open and honest as this.
