- Despite the there being multiple murders in the film, there is very little blood shown.
- Multiple characters are killed, either through stabbing or gunshots, but the blood is minimal. The murders of Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski and Steven Parent, while brutal, are considerably less bloody that the real life attacks.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Gary Hinman is cut with a sword by Charlie, then Bobby kills Gary with the same weapon. Blood shown from Gary's mouth and head.
- Tex shoots Steven Parent in the head. A little blood is seen from the exit wound.
- Tex shoots Jay Sebring. No blood shown.
- Patty chases Abigail Folger outside and stabs her many, many times. The action is seen from a distance, but it is intense and brutal. Very little blood seen on Abigail's clothing.
- Tex stabs Sharon Tate multiple times in her pregnant belly. Her clothing gets bloody. Probably one of the more disturbing scenes in the film.
- During the attack on Sharon by Tex, Susan Atkins, who is holing Sharon from behind, has Sharon's blood running down her face.
- Susan stabs Wojciech Frykowski, then Tex finishes the attack.
- Margot, the main character, is stabbed to death in her bed.
