When I heard this was being made I had very low hopes. I loved BNO and liked The Smell. I kind of liked catterick and a few other bits and bobs but nothing like the way I felt about BNO. I was expecting this to be rubbish.
I've just watched the first episode and I'm delighted. It's exceedingly funny. The only things I missed were the live band, Mr Songwriter and neck ties. Other than that it really does have the same absurd sensibility as the original. I love it.
Well done to all concerned. And thank you Vic and Bob for going back to being absolutely superb. It's like AC/DC brought out a new album and it was as good as Powerage.
