- TriviaHarrison Sherloque Wells mentions that every time he caught Cicada it was always David Hersch. This is a reference to the DC comics character David Hersch, which was the civilian name of Cicada.
- GoofsWhen Cicada is browsing through news articles of Cisco/Vibe, one article that talks about Zoom's army attacking Central City shows an image of Cisco in his Vibe suit, which he didn't use until Season 3's "Dead or Alive".
- Quotes
Nora West-Allen: As a kid, there was part of the Flash Museum that always scared me. I guess it's normal for children to be afraid of monsters. But this monster was different. No one knows where he came from, how he got his powers, who he is. All that's known is his alias, and the last sound his victims hear. But that's not what makes him scary. What makes him scary is... you can never catch him.
Barry Allen: We never catch him?
Nora West-Allen: Supergirl, the Legends, even the League tried, but no one was successful.
Ralph Dibny: Probably he can dampen everybody's powers with that magic friggin' dagger.
Caitlin Snow: Not all superhumans are meta-humans though. What about...
Nora West-Allen: Green Arrow? Yeah, he tried too once, but...
Cisco Ramon: So we're dealing with a meta-human Jack the Ripper. Amazing.

A lot of this episode is set up to get Cisco and Cicada in the same are for their confrontation and it also lead to a great introduction of a new wells; Sherloque Wells. This is easily my favorite multiversal Wells (especially after Season 4 assassinated the character of Harry) and I love the angle they're going with him.
Cicada proves to be genuinely scary in his fight with Cisco at the end and Nora's fix to get Cisco out of dying was a great twist to cap off this episode.
The episode ends with Cicada's name being revealed to us; Orlin Dwyer and we learn more about him.
Overall; "The Death of Vibe" gives us our first true look at Cicada and so far he's fairing better than both Savitar and DeVoe combined.
