Looking foreword to season 2
theknownames17 May 2020
Okay so , by now , the characters , the world , the story and the way it was told have far outweighed the distraction of how the blind have adapted and what I thought that should look like - I am hooked and I can't wait for season 2 -this episode leaves room for season 2 and I am looking foreword to it - as with all shows like this I hope i don't loose interest before that happens although I doubt it would take long to hook me back in

I don't understand what gonna happen to appel, they use a complicated serie, with no good story, they attract us to watch this show with no more new news.

Personally I believe this to be the best episode so far ! The most immersive and intense episode while also filling the episode with answers throughout. This world is getting bigger !

High spoilers!
deepakdst24 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This episode hold my breath for a moment. Episode began with Boots leading the members to a safe cave(as he said) but Boots betrayed them all by locking them in a elevator which lead them to a mine below where they all were trapped by some peoples.

Queen Kane is trying to show her cleverness by manipulating a worker but it turned out to be a trap for her instead as Cutter now knows she is the queen. Cutter removed a loyal piece from Kane's body just above the heart(as he specified the location) and send a letter to Tamacti Jun for something in exchange of the Queen.

Baba and other members managed to find a way out with the help of Boot's mom but Baba had to remain below to hold the lever of the elevator. When the members tried to send the elevator back after reaching the top but the elevator got shattered but Baba Voss somehow managed to climb up. This was the moment I was very afraid because I have seen it before when Jason left the series in six- seven episodes and I will never wish to see the same again because of his acting and position in this series as a powerful fighter.

Tamacti found Boots and he brought him straight to his princess Maghra. Boots tried to convince her to have him as her servant. Tamacti and Maghra received Cutter's message and Boots tell Maghra that Cutter's shadows are between them as the camera blanks with a suspense wherether Maghra will allow Boots as her servant or not.

It's the plot holes..
redreda2428 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It just doesn't make sense for Maghra to reveal who she is and then leave her family behind for something not that serious, maybe if she would've did it back when the witch-finders found them and she would've prevented the death of the whole village, that would've been more reasonable.

Apple haters

It is sad to see people giving this amazing show 2 stars and 3 stars. Makes me wonder if they are only giving it low stars cos of its apple originals?

I think this is one of the greatest seasons 1 fantasy shows in years. It keeps getting better for every episode. This production value keeps the same quality as ep01

A lot going on and a slow direction.
cruise014 December 2019
3 out of 5 stars.

Might be the weakest episode in the series. With a script that has a lot of slow and boring moments in between. With Jason Momoa and his people getting stuck in a cave. While his wife secret history is revealed. Which is throwing the direction into a interesting spin. There are some brutal fight scenes in the cave that picks up in the end.

The caves of this episode are the same with the Caves of Grot from the Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

The directing, and the acting im in love with

Following last week's surprising reveal, See returns this week for an episode of exposition, as we learn more about our character relationships through a series of different, long discussions. See stumbles its way blindly through another episode devoid of action, whilst failing to progress the story in a meaningful way. While there are glimmers of promise here, this week's episode does little to inject excitement into the series. With the Witchfinder General breathing down their necks, we begin with Baba Voss and the others trying to evade the enemy. Desperate to keep his kids safe, Baba Voss abandons Maghra for now, believing she's been taken, and hurry away to a dark cave. Unfortunately this happens to be a trap as the family are double-crossed by Boots and captured. Meanwhile, Queen Kane is thrown to the ground by her captors and as blood oozes from her mouth, they vow to make her talk sooner or later. At the same time, Maghra laments the Witchfinder General over his past betrayal, explaining through exposition about her royal position and how others have under-estimated her. Deep underground, the family contemplate what to do next but as hope starts to fade, Baba Voss speaks up and promises to find them a way out. At the same time, Queen Kane asks why one of her captors is helping before telling her more about Maghra and their familial bond. Unfortunately this is a foolish move, as the leader learns who she really is and realizes he has something valuable in his possession. Ripping the amulet from her chest, he leaves her bleeding on the table before sending this on to the Witchfinder General. As night turns to day, Baba Voss stays behind in the depths, fighting off guards, while Haniwa and Kofun manage to make it to the top. Unfortunately the lift breaks and traps Baba Voss down below. Determined to leave, he clutches the rock and begins scaling the heights with his bare hands. Thankfully he makes it back out. As the episode closes out, Boots asks Maghra to team up together as he's the only one who can help her. Before we get a reply however, the episode draws to a close. With a couple more episodes to go until the season finale, See delivers a slow-paced slice of drama, one used to explain more about the relationship between Maghra and Queen Kane while allowing Baba Voss and the others to reflect on their predicament after being captured by Boots.

The first bad episode
mostlyharmless-3072826 November 2021
This episode was dark (literally) and not fun. Up to now this show has been knocking my socks off, but with this episode, I found myself waiting for it to be over.
