Really need to put some work

Both the storyline and Anthony Mackie made the series boring and unbearable. I finished the first 2 episodes and found the tone has been completely changed from the first season. Especially, he made the season 2 Marvel-like. Watching him acting sometimes gives me an illusion that I am watching The Avengers. Po is still acing well. After finishing episode 3, I still did not know what the focus is. Even the colonel acts better. But I think the directors also take some responsible for this. Things start getting since episode 4, very slowly.

A shame

I enjoyed the first season, not having read the book. This season is quite awful. The production is above average, the scenario is mediocre and the acting is painful (apart from the actor that plays the Poe AI, who's the best in this troupe, followed by the German actor (great accent btw!) who plays the bad colonel; these two are doing a great job, obviously as a way to make ends meet or to become more famous). Will watch the whole season if I won't find something more interesting to do, perhaps like cutting my toenails or doing the laundry.

Here's hoping for s03.

It could be saved. Restarted. The first season had originality and gravitas. This feel cheap, exploiting s01 not building brave new worlds.

Bad casting

Mackie as Kovac is one of the worst casting decisions ever made. From melancholy and restrained nature of the Kovac in the first season we got all 80's bad ass antihero Kovac interpretation by Mackie. On the top of that Netflix made sure to throw in some same sex scenes to make sure to appeal to niche audience as well and what you get is season 2 that is bad in every way. First season was solid 8 and had so much potential to build on it unfortunately that didn't happen instead we got sf flick with retro 80's character (think jean Claude Van Dammed, Chuck Norris and Dolph Lundregen). Another funny thing is that in the future they don't have any cameras at all. Killings are happening in night clubs and millioner houses and although they can extract DNA in the split of the second, camera system is beyond the reach of their technological level. How to explain that nobody has footage of anything happening in the public places and nobody ask for camera footage to be reviewed. Bad beyond comprehension

Typical sequel disappointment

I absolutely loved the first season! Fresh ideas, interesting story line, good acting. Season two is terrible. Terrible story, terrible casting and cheap production. They should have stopped at one...

They tried and failed

Actors are struggling with weak direction and bad writing. Pale comparison to Season 1.
