A little graphic but still great!

I'm loving this show, don't get me wrong just a little too much cock in the first 10 minutes of this episode. This new generation jolly drama is well shot and really isn't as bad as some said, at least in my opinion. Its entertainment value definitely exceeds on every level! Zendaya is gold whether you like it or not.

I just love this show
aboalhyjaa27 June 2019
Why the negative reviews and ratings though ? Because it contains nudity? Drugs? . Bro, its 2019 already, even if we dont talk about this thing it would still be in our society and me as a teen i love how the show talks about it with no fears.

So realistic of loneliness and youth
dbuckshnis9 March 2021
Z as Rue is fabulous and oh, those days of caregiving as a child and not being a child. And how those addictions were an escape not knowing the chemical impact to the young body. Adding Ali now is great. Great realistic experiences.

Not as good as the first ep but still very much delivers

Nate's character becomes far more interesting with this one. Can't wait to know about the other characters. The cinematography is still very much on point here.

A little lower than the first episode, but bearable.

I regret my initial 4/10 rating for the Pilot, as I think this is more of a 4/10 episode. This feels like background footage that would play on the television in some depressing movie. It's just not that fun to watch, although the music is nice.

Things can be emotional and still gripping, but this has the student-film aesthetic it hasn't been able to escape yet.

The plot moves along...
maxxidmusic9 July 2019
I was surprised and happy to see the creative visuals and cinematography continue in this episode. Thankfully the plot seems to move a little further, giving context and much needed backstory to some characters. Again, many plot points/character backstories seem cliched, falling within countless other YA shows, but I'm convinced HBO will still deliver a satisfying season.

Rue (Zendaya) is turning out to be (after viewing the first 2 episodes) quite an unlikable character - interested to see if she'll change at all near the end of the season. Her character seems to be wildly one-dimensional so far and, for most people, not relatable. Nevertheless, excited to see where the story goes!

Decent follow up to the first episode. Wasn't quite as captivating, probably because this episode took more of a focus on Nate who is about as standard a jock type as you'll see on screen. I think Rue is a far more interesting character. There was also a fair amount of cringe early on but I think that can be attributed to the inescapable reality that the American school system is inherently cringe. Watching American schools on tv and film is honestly like going to the zoo, it's fascinating. Anyway, the show continues to be very nicely shot and acted. The music is cool if not a bit overbearing at times. I think if this show wants to be any more than just good, it needs more of a focus on Rue because she's the most interesting character for sure. Most of the other characters and story threads are pretty conventional. I won't say cliché because that word carries negative connotations in my eyes and what I'm watching isn't bad, it's just not groundbreaking. It is only two episodes in though and so far it's definitely promising.

Warning: Spoilers
Please note that I rated this in comparison to the other episodes, I gave this a three star because some of the other episodes were so good, it made this one bland. First off way too much dick in the first ten minutes, like a lot, and I hated/felt kind of traumatized seeing a montage Cal's sex tapes, but in way it helps you see what Nate saw, and understand better how it effected him, especially because he was watching this at a really young age. Most of the episode was just mostly bland, if you've watched the other episodes you know what I mean. I didn't like the way the show didn't really make a big deal out of Kat's sex tape getting leaked (she's a minor also) but maybe the show was trying to reflect reality, in that case they did a great job and I think it was accurate. Overall most of the plot in this episode just wasn't interesting or anything special.

Strange things are happening here.

Leading with the same energy from the Pilot, this episode continues with some character building and connecting of interpersonal relationships. Some of these relationships are not known to the characters in them, so intrigue and suspense builds as the story slowly unfolds into unknown territory. The drug use is not romanticised, nor are the various forms of abuse. Euphoria continues to tell a bizarre tale of risk-taking teenagers in a modern setting.

Not as good as the first episode
funnycommentor1 March 2022
The plot of the second episode was kinda boring. Gladly, the characters are well-developed and we have the chance to get to know each one of them better. The storyline is well-written and it kinda portrayed well the life of a gen z teenager. The cinematography is really nice. Also, the casting and the acting were perfect. Rue, she's still taking bad decisions. Jules, she's a very interesting character and I want her to be developed more. Maddy, she's such a b1tch. Nate, he's such an unlikable character, I hate him. Cassie, that girl has serious mental health problems. Kat, Lexie and Fez need to be developed way more and they deserve more screening time!

Drugs trip, murder and Cyber sex
AvionPrince1611 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A good episode where we follow again Rue and witnessed how she is dependant to drugs and get at the end with her dealer and got some problems with it. Kat have some problems with the sex video who get published and all people in high school know about it. And Kat will found the video in online in a porn site but some comments like the paid stuff will make her continue and give her ideas like to work for the porn stuff and get money from it (like many womens in real life- sex=easy money). We have also Cassie who get asked for nudes from her boyfriend(like every girl in this situation) and we have Cassie who become too sesual. Nate revealed to be someone pretty jealous and can commit awful acts ( murder) because of that. We have also Jules who talked to someone pretty randomly but this man its in fact Nate. A nice surprise and revelation. A nice episode that can reflect some realities with drugs addictions, the money making trough sex, murder for jealousy. I mean we are clearly into some big issues that can concerns some young people in the world. Still interesting even if its pretty superficial and not that deep.
