Netflix’s new comedy “Neon,” which executive produced by Daddy Yankee, is bringing all the heat this fall.
In the teaser for “Neon,” which is set for an Oct. 19 launch, three friends from a small town in Florida make their way to Miami as rising reggaeton artist Santi (Tyler Dean Flores) attempts to climb his way to the top of the music industry with the help of his friends Ness (Emma Ferreira), Felix (Jordan Mendoza), and A&r rep Mia (Courtney Taylor).
“Picture it: you are a star,” Ness tells Santi, who dreams of becoming “the biggest reggaeton star in the world” in the teaser. “We have to show them that we’re not just some loser wanna-bees.”
“Ness, the three of us currently live in a 2009 Toyota Corolla,” Felix says, injecting some reality into the group’s dreams.

Warner Bros. today celebrates its centennial milestone as April 4, 2023, marks 100 years of its iconic contribution to film and television.
Its rich heritage stretches back to the four brothers, Harry, Albert, Sam, and Jack Warner, born to Polish-Jewish immigrants, who founded the studio in 1923 and became mavericks of the film industry. They not only created some of Hollywood’s greatest movies and film stars, but they also were pioneers behind the innovative technology of the Vitaphone that synchronized sound and put them in the forefront as major players in Hollywood.

The audience didn’t know what to make of the strange, dissonant sounds coming from the four musicians onstage at New York’s United Palace on April 16. Swift, dive-bombing squeals and nervous rhythms poured out of the Aizuri Quartet‘s instruments for 10 minutes straight. They paused; the crowd applauded, a little confused. Then the musicians kept playing for another 20 minutes of their unannounced opening set for Wilco’s second of eight shows celebrating the 20th anniversary of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. At times a hint of a familiar melody snuck into the otherwise dizzying composition.

Latin Grammy-winning singer and actor Daddy Yankee has signed with WME in all areas.
Yankee, born Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez, is credited as a founder of the reggaeton genre earning him the nickname “The King of Reggaeton.” He recently made history as the only Latin artist to log more than 1 billion Spotify streams on three tracks.
The Puerto Rican native has sold more than 17 million albums, charted 50 hit songs on Billboard charts, and is the only Latin artist with four Spanish-language songs to reach the Top 20 of Billboard’s Hot 100.
Yankee collaborated with Luis Fonsi and songwriter Erika Ender on the hit song “Despacito” in 2017 that would go on to become one of the biggest hits of that year.
On the small screen, he appeared in a five-episode arc of the CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful in 2010, and as a guest diner on Hell’s Kitchen five years later.

"Mary. Alpha. Yankee. Delta. Alpha. Yankee." Magnolia Pictures has released an official trailer for an indie action thriller titled Mayday, which originally premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Marking the feature debut of talented filmmaker Karen Cinorre, this subversive film is a modern feminist fable unlike anything you've ever seen. Ana is transported to a dreamlike and dangerous land where she joins an army of girls engaged in a never-ending war along a rugged coast. Though she finds strength in this exhilarating world, she soon comes to realize that she's not the killer they want her to be. The film stars Grace Van Patten as Ana, with Mia Goth, Soko, Havana Rose Liu, Juliette Lewis, and Théodore Pellerin. "I wanted to create a radical portrait of young women I’ve loved and admired throughout my life. These are modern heroines who deserve a big story with the kind of action,...

Ever since the Colombian star J Balvin introduced the producer Marco “Tainy” Masís to Bad Bunny, the two men have collaborated on a string of critical and commercial hits: The 2018 album X 100Pre, which has been certified ten times platinum by the RIAA, 2019’s Oasis, now double platinum, and the massive one-off “Callaíta,” which has more than 550 million streams on Spotify alone.
So it’s no surprise that Tainy also contributed to Bad Bunny’s Yo Hago Lo Que Me Da La Gana (Yhlqmdlg), which came out Saturday at midnight.
