Here is something unexpected. Not that the episode is funny, I have no expectations of that. Out of the blue, Mr Dugdale proposes to Sandra. Then one who has money issues with her business. Dugdale has also put an offer on the house.
Now I have no idea where this has come from and why even Sandra is considering marrying such an older man unless she thinks Dugdale is wealthy. In fact this might be hinted at. I knew Dugdale joking mentioned about putting an offer in the house a few episodes ago.
It is just another example of poor writing from someone who was Oscar nominated for his writing! Dugdale seems to be so sensible, why does he want to be involved with Sandra who is another grasping offspring of Edith.
Dugdale, Phil and Edith seems to be the only sensible people in this show. You can add Wendy who had to put up with so much being married to that prat Roger.
Phil might not be happy that her bestselling children's book is based on them. Wendy generously offers everyone money and tells Roger she does not want his maintenance money that he nevers pays anyway. At least she has moved on with her life.
