Doesn't miss a beat without Anna Farris
Theedg311 November 2020
Love Anna and what she did on the show for the first seven seasons, she was tremendous, but this show still is very entertaining without her. The last season she wasn't the main focus as the first few seasons, the shows ensemble cast has really grown into something impressive.

People are mad because this episode mixes in dramatic real life situations with comedy must be new to the show. Mom has always been able to blend these two perfectly and it happens again here. Allison Janney and the crew look primed to deliver another great season. This is one of the best sitcoms on TV, and one of my favorite of all time.

Marjorie was savage with that pillow, all I have to say to end things.

missing faris et al

When they lost the grandchildren the show stopped being great, and now its not even good. They have to find new diverse characters fast because it looks like there is no ground for new jokes and this one is the last season.

Still great!

Warning: Spoilers
I was a bit worried about how the show would go about Christy's absence since Faris' abrupt exit from the series, but they did it wonderfully! I'm looking forward to the rest of this season.

It suck without Anna Faris

She is the darling of the series.

It's not the same, missing the heart.

The character Christie brought smiles, laughters and an angle that the other characters couldn't.

She was a reflection of our own life, she was closer to us as a normal average person .

Comedy? Dramedy? Just plain bad!

Could this episode be more depressing? Have they forgotten the characters? I know the show has a reputation of dealing with harsh subjects but they were just too many depressing one-liners. Kristen Johnson's character lost her quirkiness. One of Beth Hall's line was extremely depressing and came from left field. There are some funny moments but it was just ruined by this bad, uneven and sloppy writing. If I want to watch a depressing show, I'll turn it on. But don't shove it in a sitcom! If this is the way it's going to go this will be the last season and frankly good riddance
