Airing not long after the 2021 Christmas Special it seems that Poplar is already in Easter mode.
Underneath all the niceties and 'Puppet on a String' what remains impressive about this show is that it is able to cover some very dark and unpleasant topics, but never in a way that is too off-putting. And that's not an easy achievement.
Megan Cusack continues to be a joy as the new recruit to the team, while Sister Hilda continues to be a fab character.
There's nothing new here, and after 11 series you might wish there was, but this show remains a jewel in the BBC's crown.
