Drumline (2002)
This film is very entertaining.
Contrary to most of the comments I read on this film, our family found Drumline very entertaining. Perhaps it is because our son was in marching band for four years. And perhaps because we learned that the 'drumline' are the wackiest of the whole band. It takes discipline and a lot of concentration to do 'heel & toe' marching and do the choreography that was done by someone who knows nothing about how much room a trombone or drums needs to turn on a pivot. Every parent who has ever had a child in marching band can relate to this film. For the rest of you ... we'll let the drumline take care of you, they'll definitely have an idea that no other person in world ever thought of.
Deja View (1986)
Eleven songs made into videos, acted out by these stars.
Deja View is "The Ultimate 60's Party Video." It is eleven (11) different music videos acted out by various stars. Michael Pare stars in "The Letter," sung by The Tops. This is a non-speaking part; he merely acts out the song, as do the rest of the cast in the other songs. The director of The Letter is John Lafia. It was produced by Scotti Bros in 1986.
The Closer (1990)
Excellent, dramatic movie!
I totally disagree with the obnoxious reviews that are posted about this film -- Danny Aiello was exceptional! Having lived in one of these families (my father was a Closer), the story line and the actors were right on! Michael Pare` was cool, a study in perfection. Glad to see him in a straight dramatic role, instead of car chases and guns. He's the sexiest man around.
