Radioland Murders (1994)
Non-stop Fun
Admittedly, this movie is not for everyone. If you like your comedy wry and sardonic, you've come to the wrong place. This movie delivers its humor on big platters in full view of everyone and follows established comedic conventions. If you love watching the set-up (familiar or otherwise) and anticipate but still laugh at the punchline, you'll love this movie just like I do.
House on Haunted Hill (1959)
The best late night viewing ever.
Had this movie been produced a decade later, it would have been a TV movie - perhaps a movie of the week! It would have drawn huge ratings not only because of the cast but also the setting. The house (a Frank Lloyd Wright classic - the outside, that is) is a draw in itself. The special effects are strictly 50s but that only adds to the nostalgia factor. I've been lucky to
have recorded this movie in a letterbox format - it remains as one of my stalwarts in my video library.
Darby's Rangers (1958)
Wartime flick
Typical wartime flick for the period. Reliable late-night fare. Gather up your favorite snack and enjoy.
