Morin should recycle in the grocery business...
8 August 2003
This film does not denounce racism. It's a miss. I cannot recommend this creation. I really think I lost my time watching it. Sorry Mr. Morin... If Robert Morin continues directing he should let others write the stories.

Soldiers of Fortune (1955–1957)
A great t.v. series from the fifties
24 December 2002
"Soldiers of Fortune" was one of my preferred t.v. shows in my youth.

I have too few souvenirs but I remember Tim Kelly and Toubo Smith as adventurers frequently in the jungle. Boy I am glad IMDB got me to remember this series !

Soylent Green (1973)

A film to see considering genetically modified organisms...
29 July 1999
With capital concentration and realities like the irresponsible genetical modifications of the living (plants, animals...and man--it's a matter of time--), Soylent Green could be an around the corner reality. Multi-nationals are now acquiring and manipulating life as if it was a merchandise. They are selling seeds that cannot reproduce after the first yield. All this could have an array of consequences that would sound the death knell for our planetary survival. It's not too late...I hope.

A very good souvenir for the scenes and the music
14 November 1998
I've seen this film when I was 19 years old (am now 52...) !!! I hardly recall the plot (IMDB was a great help--thanks !), but I remember the beautiful scenes and the magic of Mozart's wind quintet (I think...). I will try to buy the video. I encourage you to see this marvel.

An absolute must.
8 November 1998
The essentials of life, death, love, relation to children are depicted here. This film may have weaknesses to critics eyes. It is, for me, the best film I've seen in my adult life. Be ready for an EXPERIENCE. I do not believe in afterlife. This film brings me back to the bottom-line important things in life. If you like colours, the Renaissance painters, Van Gogh, Seurat, you will love this film. If you appreciate imagination and special effects, you will be overjoyed !

A film to see for its actors, the scenario and photography.
1 November 1998
This film is a delignt! Pascale Bussières is, as always, seductive and enchanting. Alexis Martin is touching and funny. I hope a translation in English will bring out the subtle humor of Simone (Pascale Bussières)and her friend (Alexis Martin). Just for the love letter and the scene of Alexis in a Japanese-like room mimicing weightlessness, this film is a must! All about the problems of the X generation, "Un 32 août sur terre" also offers a broad reflection on sex relations and the meaning of life. The scenes in Salt Lake City are superb. The plot ? A woman crashes with her car in the night, her whole life will be upset. See the rest !
