I like frogs, but not these ones
30 November 2019
I will only say that this is a unique movie that may appeal to someone with a frog fetish. I did manage to watch the entire movie so it had some strange entertainment value....I guess.

We know what the movie is
22 August 2018
Why do 90 percent of the people writing reviews on this site have to tell the entire synopsis of the movie?

It's a waste of time. Just tell us what you liked/disliked of the movie and go about your business!

Decent movie
19 August 2001
I found this movie to be original and entertaining. Worth watching if you are into westerns with a twist. Melora Walters shows her stuff off too, so it is worth it if only for that! Nice. Mario Van Peebles gives a good performace as the "good" guy. The rest of the looney toons do a fine job as well.

Good Flick

Though this is not one of the best movies I have seen, it is fun to watch and has it's moments. Dreyfuss & Estevez give decent performance's throughout the show. This is not their best but it fills the niche nicely. I recommend seeing if you are a fan of either.

Outland (1981)

Worth Watching
13 May 2000
I have seen many Sci-fi movies and I would rate this one in my top 10. Outland gives you a sense of the "real" future. Face it folks, I doubt that within the next 200 years we will be traveling to distant stars. We will most likely be confined within our own solar system, and that is where Outland prevails. The idea of a mining colony and the corruption involved with that operation is a good idea, a realistic idea. I would recommend watching Outland for its different point of view of your typical sci-fi movie. Enjoy.

Worth Watching
20 November 1999
If you like older science fiction movies, watch this one. Sure the special effects are sub-standard compared to modern day movies, but the story line is great. The monkey is the star of the show! I think you will enjoy. If you are wondering about the monkey, then watch it!

Worth Watching

Pretty good show for a Sci-fi TV movie. It is interesting how they use the concept of traveling through time to past disasters for entertainment purposes. The acting is above par also. Martin Sheen should have had a bigger part though. I gave it 7 out of 10.

Good vs Evil (1999–2000)
Different, funny, & fun!
15 August 1999
GvsE is doing a great job at becoming a pop culture icon. The series takes a new and refreshing twist at television. I hope USA keeps it going. The actors fit the characters style very well. If you are a hard-core sci-fi fan take the time to see a couple of episodes. Remember, the show is a satire.

Refreshing
9 August 1999
It sure is about time someone woke up and decided to do something different with a Sci-fi series. And what better place to air it than the Sci-fi Channel. Sfx are first rate and the acting keeps getting better and better with each episode. I think everyone is fitting into his\her character very nicely. The only series I would rate higher would be B5 which is saying alot in my book. I hope Farscape never gets the axe!

Getting better
8 August 1999
In response to my original review, I would like to say Crusade is getting better with the actor portrayal and plot. I still find that the series strays from time to time from what the original plot intended. I find the there is a little too much "fantasy" involved, especially with the Techno-Mages. The special effects are excellent I must say. The last episode that aired on August 4, 1999 was the best to date in my opinion. It followed the storyline of the whole series very well. I also liked the space battle. I hope the series keeps going and matures even more. I felt the same way when B5 first came out only to find myself glued to the T.V. every day watching it!

Anti-gun movie?
13 July 1999
This was an enjoyable movie to watch. I just have one problem, why all the anti-gun remarks and propaganda throughout the movie? Is this necessary? Two examples come to mind. One is when the flame thrower guy is going crazy with his fire and Gibson and Glover drive up and Gibson says "this guy must be a spokesman for the NRA". The second is when the same two characters are at the station and a poster states one baby a day is killed by a handgun, ban the NRA. The NRA has nothing to do with a parents stupidity in not securing a firearm(if this statistic is accurate). If a baby a day were run over with cars, would cars be banned or only given to a select few? Probably not. This movie is nothing more than an anti-gun push toward movie viewers, yet there is plenty of violence IN the movie, including people getting killed with guns. If a movie could be two-faced like a person, this would be one of the worst. No matter what side of the issue you are on, you have to see my point. If you don't, then maybe you need to open your eyes more often to your environment. I am not a "gun crazed maniac" like some of you may believe by now. Many like me are just fed up with the way society stereotypes people and objects. I am just curious if IMDB will print this review. And it is a review on how a movie can influence the minds of people.

Will have to do a lot better
11 June 1999
What happened? They really blotched up the first episode. It seemed entirely out of context. I don't mean the plot, I mean the character portrayal. Since when does a Mars senator give orders to an Earth Force vessel?(for example)They have a long ways to go to catch up with B5. Did JMS even direct this episode?

A Must See
1 June 1999
I really like war films of this era. Nowadays movies(which are very good) like to add too much "Hollywood" in them. They have to have the typical boy meets girl, boy goes to battle, boy comes home as hero. Very predictable. This is not a serious movie, but one of light humor. Excellent acting and none of the Hollywood nonsense.

You've got to be kidding. This movie sucked for the sci-fi fans. I would only recommend watching this only if you think Armageddon was good.

WoW!!!!
27 January 1999
Yes, Yes I have heard it all. This one movie kept you guessing, this one made you think this guy did it, and this one made you think he was the master-mind. Yea, yea. Well if you really want a movie to make you think and second guess yourself, this is the one. Yes the acting and visuals were good. Trust me, if you like movies that keep you guessing-this is the one....so far!

wow
4 January 1999
Well this rates as one of my favorite B5 movies second only to In the Beginning. The movie does a fine job of setting up for the Crusade series. The scenes of Earth being attacked by the Drakh, and the Omega class destroyers along with the 2 ISA destroyer prototypes defending it is staggering. A must see if you are a B5 fan. Omega class destroyer fans will like this one.

Danny Glover and Joe Pesci could have done a lot better. Sure, the movie had it's moments, but overall it is not one of their highlights in their careers. It wasn't bad enough to fast forward the tape though. I gave it a 4.

Riot (1996 TV Movie)

Excellent merging of characters
31 December 1998
This movie is about the L.A. riots stemming from the Rodney King incident. The movie is about how the four predominate races interact with each other during these riots. The whites, blacks, hispanics, and asians are the races involved. The way the director mingles the characters together at certain times is outstanding. For example in one scene you see 3 hispanics arguing, and in the background you see a police officer being surrounded by many people, and he is defending himself. Later, on the police officer's skit at the end he is in the same scene. A must see.

This movie fills in a lot of gaps from the series. The special effects are outstanding. This is surely the best bab 5 movie to date. Time for the big screen.

Decent Sci-fi
1 December 1998
At first the movie may seem a little too gothic for some. But as the story unfolds you find out why. It may be a little hard to follow at in the beginning, but later in the movie you see why things are the way they are. Overall it was a pretty good movie. The thing I liked the most was that it took a step off the beaten path of the average sci-fi/horror genere. I gave it a 7. For sci-fi fans with an open mind and not stuck to the likes of "Armageddon" type movies, this is one to watch.

good special effects, very weak plot
30 November 1998
Well I think this movie received so much hype people had to see it. I think this could have been a very good movie except they fouled it up by putting in a weak plot. Ok, flying into space to plant a nuke on an asteroid to blow it up may be a little far fetched, but not entirely unbelievable, so does the idea of sending up a drilling specialist to oversee the task. But sending up a whole crew of misfits from an oil rig is totally unbelievable. If the world was in so much peril, do you actually think the government would take a gamble of such grand proportions? Come on people. I think this movie will only appeal to a misinformed audience(about 70% of the U.S. pop). I gave it a 6 just because the special effects were good.

Immersive storyline
16 November 1998
If you like movies that involve the lives of people from their childhood to their death, mystery, history,a little action, and actors in their early years, then this is the show to watch. The story spans from the late 1800's to present day. It mainly centers around the various Chiefs of Police that were elected during that time frame, and how they changed the town. But the main center of the story is about a murder that happened in the early 1900's and how the murder is not discovered until present day,who did it, and how he hid it for so long. A very long movie, but worth watching.

A must for sci-fi/horror movie fans
11 November 1998
This surely ranks in my top 10 movies of all time. This is a classic sci-fi from seasoned director John Carpenter. Rent this movie on a weekend night, by yourself, turn out the lights, open your mind and enjoy. This movie has to be seen more than once to be really appreciated.

Certainly not the best, but a decent movie
10 November 1998
Well I gave this movie a 7. It was better than "Thirdspace" but not as good as "In the Beginning" as far as the B5 movies go. I really think the television series did a much better job overall with the special effects and character portrayal. Let's hope the producers and cast get the next series "Crusade" up to the standards of B5.
