Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Unbelievable, thrilling, moving and ironic!
The main thing that I realized when this movie reached it's conclusion was that there was many occasions of irony. Now if you saw the movie, you should be able to tell what I'm talking about.
Besides the irony, the beginning scene was horrific in the gruesome sense, but true to life to the smallest characteristic. Whether it was people loosing limbs from a grenade while hiding or someone being shot down with numerous bullets while running away, you almost thought you were watching a real war scene.
It was also touching in numerous ways. One way was that you got so emotionally attached to some of the characters that searched for Private Ryan. When they were killed off for one reason or another, you couldn't help but get a tear in your eye. And if you didn't, you obviously aren't part of the human race.
So if you think that this movie is just another shoot 'em up war type movie, you'll absolutely wrong! It has a fabulous story line to go along with the life like war shots. A definite to watch and to own. GO NOW!
Drive Me Crazy (1999)
wow... this was bad
Well, even though I hadn't actually paid too much attention to this movie, I did notice enough that it was horrible. I gave it a 3 out of 10 only because it has Melissa Joan-Hart in it. If she was not the main star, I most likely would have given this movie a ... 1. The plot was horrible. Both get dumped so they get together and become a couple, but for what reason? To make people jealous? Come on, that's pathetic. I could pull a better one out my anus. But enough of this because I am just wasting my time. Hopefully Melissa will re-read the scripts a little better before becoming a part of a movie of that caliber.
American Pie (1999)
A classic movie for a high schooler or a high school graduate
If I had to use one word to sum this whole movie up, I wouldn't be able to do it. Words that come to mind are: hilarious, hysterical, raunchy, real and living. Since I'm still in highschool, most of this stuff is gonna make sense to me sooner or later. If I live it or don't live it, it's still funny as hell in the movie.
The actors were great. After seeing Rookie of the Year's Thomas Ian Nicholas all grown up, I would keep saying "the rookie is finally gettin some play!" Well if you were there, it would be funnier to you. And if you had the mind of my friends and I, you would understand. Enough with the inside jokes, this movie is a classic. Whether you are in highschool now or graduated years ago, as long as you were at once a fun loving teen, I GUARANTEE you will love, laugh and cry for this movie. Well not sad crying but hysterical laughing crying. i'm out.
