The X Files (1998)
The best television series of the 90's
If there is one television series that separates the 80s television medium from the 90s it is the X-files. First aired in 1992 it instantly defined itself as a breed apart from all other SCI-FI shows that ever existed. Over the years The X-Files has grown worldwide becoming an internationally watchable show and surely one of the most watched and highest rated shows in the US. It's intricate plot and story twists have kept the show fresh injecting a boost of alien confusion to keep audiences on the edge and inimically open to any kind of future
Star Trek: Insurrection (1998)
Midlife Crisis!
What were the creators thinking when they drew the plot for Insurrection. It's not like there are no good stories in the 24th century. All Star Trek movies have succeeded with plot lines that represent political thrillers and action while exploring the human condition the exception being Star Trek IV. The Cardassians, The Bajorans, and the whole quadrant of the Dominion must pose some excitement for a movie line? I, however, feel comforted that by the time the next movie comes along good old "Q" may be back or else we will get to see some serious Romulan action who have never been casted as an adversary. The creators must fix this midlife crisis of this Star Trek stagnation otherwise we may sadly see a series diminish prematurely.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: All Good Things... (1994)
The Greatest Star Trek Episode of All Time
"All Good Things" easily surpassed many of the Star Trek movies in its politically intricate and emotionally charged plot. It is a tradegy that ST:TNG had to come to an end at the crest of its success since two of the three movies "Generations" and "Insurrection" didn't come close to keeping the glory and concept of Star Trek Alive. "All Good Things" will go down in the Star Trek and Sci-Fi grapevine as the most watched and defining show of its time. Kudos.
