Tutti gli uomini del deficiente (1999)
Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomino makes it all worth watching
Well you have to admit, the grand plot of the movie isn't so interesting, so to make it a good movie, they had to throw in most all of the funny comics in Italy at that time. It is kind of a treat to see cameos and sketches thrown in here and there, and Gialappa's Band as the voices is just too right. On top of all this, Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo's Japanese gangster sketch...what can you say...I think they should actually make a movie from that. Overall, the movie was ok.
Star Trek: Voyager (1995)
Nothing special, BUT...
First of all, I find this episode a norm. But if you're a die hard VOY junkie, no harm watching. I just don't want to give anything out, or give high expectations to people yet to watch this episode. Oh...but it really is a MUST SEE if you're a Rage, or Audioslave fan. Ok, Tom Morello has a camio with I believe, two lines, surprised me. That was about the only WOW in this episode for me.
Buena Vista Social Club (1999)
great great great
The movie is absolutely wonderful, to say to least. I assume that this is a different style of Wim Wenders, comparing to his other works. This is the best documentary I've ever seen. No doubt, Wim Wenders is a really good movie maker (director, writer...etc). But, if I had to give the credit to the person who deserves it, I would give most of the credit to the musicians. This movie gave the whole world a great influence on Cuban music. I thank Wenders for fascinating me with the music. This is a movie music lovers have to see, and take advantage of this wonderful music. I gave it a 10. Just one thing I don't understand, why Ry cooder?? Yes, maybe he found the musicians. But why is he getting most of the credit?? And everybody knows that his slide-guitar doesn't fit the music.
