Fantasia 2000 (1999)
Like a pregnant woman with mood swings, went from facsinating, to boring, to funny to amazing
10 June 2000
The begining was quite facsinating, I don't know why though (I know I'm just really strange). The whale scene was quite boring. The soldier one was absalutly lovely! I loved it, it was so magical. The Donald Duck Noah Ark scene was funny, but even funnier was the New York scene, which I found hilarius and magical at the same time. The Flamingos were also funny, but too short (and talking about short, the movie was REALLY short, too short). The end was beautiful. It was boring to see the Mickey Mouse scene again.

All in all, I loved the way they made the scenes fit so perfectly with the music. Watch, if you don't like it, don't worry, it'll be over before you remember how to pronounce the names of the musicians and composers in the film.

I'm impressed
30 January 2000
I took this movie out of a rental machine since I wanted to see it back when it was out in the cinema, but didn't get the chance too. When I first put it in my VCR, I thought I was in for a stupid film all about sex and with teribble acting. As my VCR showed more time has passed since I first placed it in it, the movie became more interesting and I couldn't get myself away from the screen. By the end I was amazed at how this film that I expected to be teribble turned out pretty good.

The plot is not only about sex, but it actually has a story going for it! (unlike some of the other teen movies in '98-99). In the plot Kathryn (Geller) makes a bet with Sebastian (Phillippe) that he own't be able to get the new girl in town, Annette (Witherspoon) to sleep with him, if she wins she gets his beloved car, if he wins he gets what he's been wanting ever since their parents got married- to sleep with her. As he tries to seduce Annette he falls in love with her, and the plot just twists and twists, in fact the whole movie is bloody twisted, but damn good. Also in the movie, Cecile (Blair) falls in love with her cello teacher, who falls in love with her too. Her mother disapproves. Kathryn wants to get revenge at Cecile since she is the reason her past boyfriend dumped her. So she impersonates herself pretending to be Cecile's friend, when in fact she's the one who has the real cruel intentions.

The acting was very good. Geller gave a great performance and Phillippe did too, though hers was a bit better. Blair and Witherspoon also gave great performances. And Joshua Jackson as well, even though he's only seen for like 2 seconds. The acting was not bad, the end was fantastic and the movie itself was very good. Definetly recomended. You can always press 'stop' if you disagree with me.

Freaky!
30 November 1999
The movie was indeed freaky but it was good in a twisted way. Al Pachino, was great (if you ask me), he definetly did a wonderful job portraying the devil. Keano Reeves was as usual- ok, but he was pretty good too. Charlize Theron was actually very good in my taste. The plot itself was very good yet twisted, the near ending where Keano... well I won't say, but when there is all the fire was very good and the freakiest scene of the movie. Though the real ending (the last scene) kinda confused me, though it was good. All in all this is a movie worth watching, but keep in mind that it's twisted, weird and pretty dark. 7 out of 10.

Mimic (1997)
Freaky!
24 September 1999
Well I saw this movie at 2:00 am, so it really freaked me out. In the beginning there's a bunch of sick kids so Mira Sorvino invents a bug that, well does something, obviously- I didn't really get that. Then three years later those bugs grow into huge insects that fly and kill people. Mira Sorvin was pretty good actually and I must say that a lot of the performances were good, or at least I thought so. The idea is good, and the bugs look realistic, it's a pretty good movie actually, I enjoyed it, of course I couldn't get any sleep after it but I liked it. 4 outta 5

Williamson does it again!
5 September 1999
Unlike many people (see other reviews) I actually thought it was really scary. The plot was good, not just some person who kills poeple for no reason (even though you should never kill, even for a reason), basically- yet again Kevin Williamson writes a great script. I really liked the cast. Jennifer Love Hewitt was really good, as usual. And Sarah Michelle Gellar, was great, she really is that kinda actress that right for horror (take, Buffy and Scream 2, for example). Freddy Prinze Jr. Wasn't bad either and Ryan Phillipe was good as well especially in car scene. And to top it all off Anne Heche just totally freaked me out, It's amazin how scary she was in this movie. Great movie- 10 outta 10, It's my favorite movie (after The Phantom Menace, that is- and just before Scream). Another reason why this movie was sooo great for me is because I'm a HUGE Kevin Williamson fan, Scream, Scream 2, IKWYDLS, and I LOVE Dawson's Creek. Buffy (in which Gellar stars, duh) Is my favorite show (with Dawson's Creek, that is) And I also really like Party Of Five (Hewitt). MUST SEE :-)

Not Bad
16 August 1999
Not Bad at all. I was expecting less but was impressed. Good movie. As Usual Meg Ryan gives a winning performance and Nicholas Cage was also good. This movie might make you cry. It really got me thinking. This like "It Could Happen To You", another Nic Cage movie is a perfect "Saturday Night, Ben & Jerry's Movie" :-)

Titanic (1997)
One of the best movies ever!
16 August 1999
This is more like two movies in one. It's divided to two parts: -The love story -The ship sinking At first we see what seems to be a documentry about the Titanic, but isn't. Then we see how OLD Rose (Gloria Stewert) tells her story in which at first we see Jack (DiCaprio) and Rose (Winslet) meet, have a love story, parents disagree kinda like Romeo & Juliet (which is also a DiCaprio film). Then we have a break and then the ship crashes into the iceberg which mostly shows how people try to survive and then in the end... well I won't say the end. If you take away the effects you have one of the greatest love stories of all times (with low budget effects) and if you take away the love story you have one of the greatest adventure films. Basicly the film won 11 Oscars and became tho most grossing movie in Box-Office history. It'a good movie. If you haven't seen it (Where were you the past 2 years?) go see it, it won't hurt you (ot James Cameron). OK I was foucusing too much on comedy on this review- sorry. Anyway to make a long review short: -rent the movie, if you don't like it turn it off -I'd recommend it (a long with a Billion other people)- ok less

Norma Jean & Marilyn (1996 TV Movie)
what was the switch between Judd and Sorvino?
16 August 1999
OK, I saw this movie a few days ago at 24:30 (after seein already two movies in a row "Mission Impossible" and "The Net", they were all on TV) I thought I'd check this movie out. Well considering the fact that I had like 40-50 years to be born at the time when the real Marilyn was around I don't know hardly anything about her. The movie was ok all though I fell asleep in the middle (not because it was boring because it was late) I just don't get why Ashly Judd and Mira Sorvino make that switch in the middle after all it's still the same person it's not like she got cloned or something.

If it's on TV and you have nothing better to do watch it. If Dawson's Creek or Buffy are on the other channels, forget 'bout this movie. For a TV movie it was good but there's a reason why it wasn't in the cinema.

Cute
16 August 1999
Pretty Nice, Touching. This is that kind of Saturday Night movie. It's that kind of movie that you can't really "not like". If you have nothing to do on Saturday this would be a great movie to take. Of course in real life for something like that to happen is VERY unlikely but hey it's a movie. It's a great "Ben & Jerry's" movie :-)

Warning: Spoilers
Mike Myers is sooooooo funny! This movie is great. I LOVED it it was sooo funny, And I love to laugh. Myers did a great job on the script and in palying Austin/Dr. Evil/Fat Bastard. Heather Grahm was fantastic as well. Seth Green (Oz from Buffy) As usual made a great performance I'm so happy they gave him more lines this time. Although this is kinda different for him becasue he usually plays quiet characters (take Oz for example). This is a really funny movie. (Tiny spoilers ahead) I loved that whole "Just The Two Of Us" Thing Dr. Evil sang to Mini-Me. Go see it now. It was HILARIOUS. :-) :-) :-) :-)

PHANTASTIC
15 August 1999
This movie is just GREAT! I've never been a Star Wars fan but thanks to this movie I now am. This is my all time favorite movie. George Lucas sure knows how to write great scripts. This was better then the first 3 movies because the effects were way better thanks to the HI-TEC of today, I also liked the characters more. Who could believe little Anakin would be Darth-Vader?

Natalie Portman did a GREAT job as the Queen and Jake Lloyd as Anakin the same. I never really liked Liam Neeson but he was great in this movie. Ewan McGregor also did a good job. This movie is *****out of*****

GO see it in the cinema now, the effects won't be the same on video/DVD. :-)

See Star Wars, it's better...
15 August 1999
Warning: Spoilers
...way better. Sorry Star Trek fans but I'm sorry I went to see this movie. The TV series was good (I wasn't alive back then but re-runs) But this movie was a waste of money. (tiny spoiler ahead) what was the story with that whole singing part on the ship??? I almost fell asleep in this movie. Lets face it after 8 movies (this being the ninth) you start to lose ideas. Only see this if:

1) You're a devoted Star Trek fan 2) you have absolutely nothing but nothing to do

Do not see this if: 1)Star Wars is playing as well 2) The Matrix is playing as well 3)Any other movie is playing as well

Sorry Star Trek fans my opinion. ** Out of *****

Antz (1998)
Allen, Stone, Stalone, Lopez= Great Film
15 August 1999
What a Great movie, truly enjoyable both to parents and children. While A Bug's Life is more childish Antz can also capture teen and adult audiences. Woody Aleen as usual is so funny and just to see him as a little ant made me laugh. The casting in this movie was just GREAT with huge stars such as Woody Allen (as Z) Sharon Stone (as Princess Balla) and other great voices such as Sylvester Stalone, Jennifer Lopez, Gene Hackman and TONS more. In the plot Z (Allen) falls in love with Balla (Stone) and finds out she's the princess trying to get her to notice him once again (after a dance, very like the one in Pulp Fiction) accidentely goes to war and becomes a hero, kidnaps the princess and I won't say the rest. This is a VERY funny movie indeed. Once again Allen has that charm. Go see it no matter how old you are :-)

And in the end there is a nice little surprise.

Scream 2 (1997)
Good, But not as the first
15 August 1999
Warning: Spoilers
WARNING: THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS READ ONLY IF YOU SAW THE MOVIE

Anyway now that that's out. Here's the review. OK first scene very scary. Jada Pinkett (now Smith)'s death was very spooky indeed. Then Randy's death, not only scary but funny (the guys with the stereo) I LOVED Cici's (Sarah Michelle Gellar, aka Buffy) death totaly spooky. Then the part with Duey and Gale in the projecting room gave thrills as well. It was a prettt good movie, more laughs, less thrills. I was very disapointed with the ending though, the killers were such minor characters we new nothing about so we didn't really care and the last scene in Scream defunetly beat this scene. Also the first scene beat Scream 2's first scene (That's probably one of the scariest scene's I've ever seen up til today). DON'T see it if you didn't see the first, you won't understand it, it brings up a lot of things mentioned in the first (doesn't really continue the story but continue's the minor stories of scream, the personal lives, not the murders) So if you haven't seen the first you won't get this film. If you have seen this film go see it, it won't exactly be a masterpiece but a vey nice way to spend a Friday night. (Especially if it's the 13'th) :-)

7 Outta 10. See it, it's not bad

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003)
Best Show Ever!
15 August 1999
Buffy The Vampire Slayer is the best show ever! It rules. The movie wasn't good so don't think that the show is like the movie because it isn't. To bad Spike and Drusilla are gone I really liked them. I'm really scared for Buffy's future because now also David Boreanez (Angel) and Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) are leavibg :-(. It won't be the same and their show "Angel" might be a failure. I hope not though. Well anyway Buffy is a great show, Sarah Michelle Gellar just rocks and Alyson Hannigan and Nicholas Brendon are just soooo funny especially when they're together (They'd be perfect for each-other :-) ). Seth Green can be great by not even saying a word, and when he does he's twice as great. Charisma Carpenter is also hilarious and Anthony Head is that kinda character that's supposed to annoy you but he doesn't at all. David Boreanez was also great when quiet, too bad he's leaving (and taking Charisma with him). Now ALL the cast of Buffy are some of my favorite actors/actresses. They're all so Great I can't decide who's my favorite character although it's probably Willow (Hannigan is also great) I can't wait for American Pie to come out where I live. :-)

See it! You have nothing to lose.

Scream (1996)
It's A Scream!
15 August 1999
GREAT MOVIE,

One of the best I've ever seen. Kevin Williamson is one of todays best screen-writters. The cast was perfect. Neve Campbell was great and Jamie Kennedy like wise. I loved the first scene it was soooo scary, I watched it on tape and in the first 5 minutes of the film I went and locked the doors and every few seconds looked behind me. This movie is one of the scariest I've seen. I became A HUGE Kevin Williamson film (especially after I found out he also made Dawson's Creek- which I LOVE and IKWYDLS, also GREAT). I can't wait for Scream 3 and Kevin's new tv show.

5 outta 5 Must see

SPOOKY and GROSS
15 August 1999
This was shown one Monday here so I thought I'd check it out. It had a really good cast Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Gwyneth Paltrow. But it got way too spooky for me (it was about midnight) So I turned it off after the bed scene (The guy that was tied to a bed for 364 days) That was so gross. I'm gonna rent it and see it at day this time. See it only if you can stand gross but really gross things. If Scream made you sick DO NOT see this film.

Worth Watching
15 August 1999
Hi all,

OK, so the writers don't know much about computers but they do know how to write good scripts. A lot of people say this is like any other "chase-movie" but it's a bit different. Of course there are some parts that remind you of "The Fugitive" but it's still different. If your a computer expert you'll for sure notice that some of the stuff in this film is unrealistic but it's only a movie. ****out of*****

Watch It, you have nothing to lose :-)
