The Strangers (2008)
3/10
Uhhh...too many unbelievable actions going on here!
20 June 2008
I had high expectations for this movie. The trailer looked scary. The masks are scary....and a decent pair of actors! The Strangers has a lot going for it. But about halfway through the main characters make the most retarded decisions anyone could ever make......EVER!...Totally broke the belief barrier and then it was down hill from there! Plus the ending is less than spectacular. I wanted a battle scene at the end but do the horrible decision by these folks... it was more of a crawl to survival. Gore does not make a movie or make up for a storyline! Once again completely let down by the horror scene out there right now! BLAH!!!!:(..... get some good writers all ready!

The Only movie I have ever turned off because it's so offensive!
10 July 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I am a huge horror fan...G.Romero's Dawn of the Dead is one my favorite movies of all time. I am also a huge fan of Dario Argento's films (Creepers,Demons etc...) a lot of these two directors films are very bloody and very gruesome!...Romero's films have scenes of people getting ripped apart by zombies!! Eeeccckk!..... ..But I have never turned off one of their movies. Last night I starting watching Hostel 2 ( out of boredom..Hostel 1 sucked too) and when it came to the scene where Heather M. was being hung upside down and then gutted so a naked woman could bath in her blood below...I immediately stopped watching and was totally disgusted! If this is where horror movies are headed courtesy of the Hostel and Saw films.. I have to say a big no thanks to horror movies! I had to think why this scene bothered me so much... I think it was because of the sadistic nature of it....it really was like a snuff film... it was too real... and too sick!..If you watched this movie and liked it.. you should should probably see a psychologist! and I am really not joking when I say that. " Well aren't scenes of zombies ripping a human apart just as sick..?" well yah they are..but there is not a sadistic-torture elements in the zombies scenes... in this movie it's human on human..WITH A woman getting sexual gratification from having another woman bleed on top of her! .. its sick!...and it's not entertainment... SAY NO TO SICK TORTURE AS ENTERTAINMENT!

Could have been Better... Things didn't make sense...
24 June 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I really loved the first "28 days later".... I was looking forward to this one...it ended up being just okay...some of the story didn't make sense... • Would these kids really go over the river by themselves? after what had happened? • How in the heck and why!....does the Dad survive till the end??... how is he immune to the fire attacks and the GAS TOO... and he just some how stumbles upon them in the subway at the end after they had traveled all that way!!?? NO WAY.. its dumb that he would want to follow them anyways??...cheesy! • ..The gas would have killed them in the car when the infected outside the car were killed almost instantly...and the people inside the car didn't even cough!??? uhmmm strange... • Code RED..... and so they turn the lights off in the city?..WHAT! WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS... HAHAH ITS EASIER TO SEE IN THE DARK? what!!...and they lock up all the civilians in rooms and don't check all the doors??... man o man! • small but dumb detail: At the beginning the lady on the bus taking the people back into London says something like " and we even have a pub!"... which doesn't make sense because..aren't there thousands and thousands of people there?.... one pub.. big deal! hahaha

BASICALLY... I am willing to overlook some minor details in movies like this (my favorite genre)...but this movie had too many "we didn't think about it" kinda holes in the story...too many things just didn't make sense.

PS.did anyone think that maybe this movie was funded by Maybelline.... with that main girl having the thickest perfect makeup and eyelashes the whole movie!?? weird ahahh

PSS But I know I will go see the next one too!!... Hoping for a better take!

PSSS. This movie could have been better.. but it is worth a rental!!

The Haunting (1999)

Why the Haunting was a horrible film
13 October 1999
The Haunting is a horrible film because the script itself is one of the most poorest written scripts I have ever seen produced. I actually can't even believe some of those lines made it into the film especially the last 20 minutes or so."Its about family grandpa". I literally laughed out loud at the film.

On the other hand, the technical aspect of the film was great. The sets were beyond belief and the special effects were good too but the fumble here is a bad story!

Overlook of the film Legend
13 October 1999
The movie Legend is a prime example of evil verses good. The imagry of the unicorns and the leaves blowing around is unforgettable as are the characters. The sets provide the perfect background for the story line. A great film for anyone who is looking for a spectacular get away kind of film.
