Black Hawk Down (2001)

An Average Experience

I'd give this movie 7 out of 10 tops.I never really felt connected to the characters.I didn't really care about them.I couldn't make out who was who, seeing everyone was covered in dirt and blood.The war scenes were average,nowhere near as intense and real as Private Ryan.There were some very cool moments but not many of the cast looked liked they were in real peril.Tom Sizemore's character must have thought he was bulletproof because he seemed not to bothered about all those nasty bullets flying about.

See it,i'm sure the sound is worth it,but just don't get your hopes up too much.

Lost Souls (2000)

I can't believe that someone in Hollywood okayed this rubbish.I invested over an hour and a half in this garbage,which i consider to be one of the worst movies i have seen in many years.The ending is so DISAPPOINTING that i laughed out loud when the lights came on in the theater-i was in a state of shock at how much i had just been violated.

Don't even rent this movie,or watch it on T.V.Rather watch your favorite movie again-you will be better off.

The Crow: Salvation (2000)

One of the worst movies i have ever seen

This movie was really terrible.I would only give it 2/10 but that's because The Crow 2 was even worse.The Crow's make-up job made him look like an extra in a Marilyn Manson music video.How anybody could find him intimidating is beyond me.

Kirsten Dunst acts well(and is hot)but what why she agreed to do this mess is beyond me.The movie is WAY to long and is edited very badly.The LOUD rock music over every action(if you can call them that)scene becomes annoying really fast.

Please,i beg you don't watch this.Not even on t.v.Ever.Don't encourage them.Don't make the same mistake i did-and i saw it in a theatre for free!

Gladiator (2000)

A really good,but not great film.

Gladiator is definitely Ridley Scott's best work since Blade Runner.Rusell Crowe is very well cast, and the cinematography is breathtaking.

The only problem is that the film isn't the masterpiece I was hoping it would be.The story is great, and the villan Commodus is really evil, but I never really got involved in Maximus's plight. He just seemed too content with being a Gladiator, and he never experiences any fear.The ending for me seemed like a bit of an anti-climax.

Gladiator is definitrly very entertaining,but just don't get your hopes up too much.

American Beauty (1999)

Brilliant from start to finish

American Beauty is such an exceptional example of how to make a truly memorable film.I can't understand people who didn't completely enjoy this masterpiece.It is in my top 10 movies of all time.
