Star Trek: The Next Generation - A Final Unity (1995)
Still the best Trek adventure game to date
Yes, the graphics are dated now. Yes, you have to wrestle your computer into DOS to play it. But this adventure will suck you in.
The story is as rich as (in Insurrection's case, richer than) a TNG film, but much, much longer. Spectrum Holobyte used the medium of the game to tell an extended and detailed story, with nearly countless compelling characters and environments. The many-faceted interface and difficulty controls keeps gamers at any level engaged.
The entire cast of TNG was on board to provide voices, and they breathe life into their stone-faced animated characters. This is a gem from the golden age of PC adventures, and until a Trek adventure at the calibre of "Deus Ex" emerges, it will remain on top. If you're lucky enough to see a copy of it, pick it up without hesitation.
Lost in Space (1998)
I'm not a violent person, you understand...
But this movie made me want to kill someone. Many people, actually. Everyone that was ever involved in its making. This movie made me want to clasp the heads of the makers of this movie and shout, "What were you thinking?" My friend here is saying I have to come up with reasons for not liking the movie. Hmmm... the script writing was worse than the know-it-all ravings of an eight-year-old. The acting was so incessantly stereotypical I wondered if the characters were actually computer constructs of horrible actors. Shame on everyone for making this movie! If the thought of seeing it ever, EVER, crosses your mind, please, hit yourself on the head sharply and return your mind to less dangerous thoughts.
