Pretentious piece of crap!!!
27 December 2008
You know you are not alone at not loving something when at the end of the first episode of it, Lars shows up telling to the audience that "next episode will be better". This one is such a boring and ridiculous story that made me want to go and return the DVD and forget about giving me my money back....just get this stupid and boring story out of my life! I really don't understand the people that rate it so high. The characters are unlikeable, empty and full of absurd reactions, not to mention the production mistakes that fill the series. May God have mercy on all the people that bought this hoping to get something worth their money for! And I really envy the ones that found something worthy on this one!

One of the best worst movies to watch!
19 August 2005
The worst movie the popular Mexican singer Juan Gabriel has ever done! The script is stupid, senseless, weak, absurd and ridiculous... His costar, "Estrellita" gives us a glimpse of what bad acting really means. Put the two of them together in a kissing scene and you will get the weirdest feeling ever since Michael kissed Pricilla on TV. Gilberto Martínez, the director was an old man by the time he made this movie, and you can tell that he really didn't give a damn anymore: terrible scenes, failure in continuity, cheap takes...Nevertheles, this movie is quite funny to watch while having a late night party with friends. It guarantees a whole lot of laughs!

Pretentious piece of...
3 May 2004
Where to start? This movie is even worse than hitting an old lady in the street. The worst part is that I knew it was bad before going to the theater, but I thought it would be fun to watch. But oh mistake! The acting of everyone there is bad, maybe Camil gets a little of slack. The script is horrible, incoherent, absurd and ridiculous. You laugh at first at how wrong the production is,alas, after a while, you start feeling sick.

Avoid this movie by all means and someone give Arau a job directing soap operas instead.

A forgotten classic
30 November 2003
A great movie that takes us to an island dominated by women, Sibila. A Charro from Guadalajara and his friend from Spain end up being slaves to the dominating sex in there. It has great special effects, great actors, and an amazing and fun script; along with songs, it´s sure to bring more than one smile to those who see this sadly hard to find movie.

That´s entretenimiento!!!
1 August 2003
A great retrospective of the mexican movies, narrated by it´s protagonists. The last adieu to several of them as they tell the audience, with the help of clips from movies their experiences, their memories and share with us the legacy of over 50 years of mexican cinema. Worth watching more than once, alas, there´s a lack of dates and whose picture is whose at some points, no captions anywhere. Great homage anyway!

Keep the faith, don´t loose hope and show some charity
10 October 2002
There are three stories in this film, each one named after the main title. The first one "Fe" (faith) is the story of a woman who travels to a far away town in order to get a miracle to save his husband from a disease. On the way she will get raped over, and over by the pilgrims she goes with. After she comes back home, the miracle is done...and she vows to come back next year. The second story: "Esperanza" (Hope) is about a man who consents to be nailed to a cross in order to be shown in a freak "JesusChrist show". Hoping to help his mother that way. The problem? Silver nails in order to avoid infections were too expensive. The third one: "Caridad" (Charity) gives us one of Katy Jurado´s best performances. A humble woman faces the lack of charity from the powers that be. The worst of nightmares emerge after she and her son get in a fight because of a childish fight and his husband gets killed...bureaucracy. A fine and entertaining mexican film worth watching.

Betrayal, hate, and everything that makes a nice family worth loving

Warning: Spoilers
This Mexican soap opera had the highest ratings ever when broadcasted. Catalina Creel is the head of the Creel dynasty, and would do anything to get a grand son. The main problems are: She hates his older son to the point of driving him crazy with guilt over a childhood accident and the other, the one she loves,is married to an sterile woman. Catalina Creel is a proud one eyed woman, capable of killing, destroying, cheating and more in order to do things her way. Maria Rubio´s interpretation of her will forever be remembered.

It´s not a bad movie...it´s horrible
13 August 2002
If you are fan of Ed Wood´s work, You will love Juan Orol´s doings. This movie must have the worst script ever. It is bad, but it´s great for fun: so absurd, such stupid dialogues and with a huge lack of sense. A truly mexican cult classic worth watching...only once!

Old ladies with style
13 August 2002
Sara Garcia and Prudencia Grifell are two old sisters from a once wealthy family. Now they are forced to recover their lost fortune by stealing it from their brother´s lovers in order to give a good life to their new found grand daughter. Great innocent and clever laughs. Cynical and adorable, the Vivanco sisters do their best to give all to the girl without her realizing where the wealth is coming from.

A nice Mexican conservative family living in an old town in Mexico. Fun, entertaining, great drama and incredible acting.Soler role as an old man thinking is still young chasing young girls and cheating on his wife is an acting worth watching. Also, don´t miss mexican idol Pedro Infante´s best role ever.
