Saw this one at the Toronto International Film Fest. Great performances (particularly from Jagger and Coburn), a great script, clever direction and wonderful score made this one of the best films, if not THE best, that I saw at the festival this year. The audience seemed to love it and laughed quite a bit through this story about an unemployed writer who takes a job as a male escort to support his wife and family. When this movie comes out in theaters, I would highly recommend it and I imagine that it might get nomintated for some decent awards, particularly for Jagger.

I haven't seen such a textured, layered piece of work in a long time. Granted I had to watch it twice to get everything in it. But I've had to say that about "Touch of Evil" and "The Big Sleep" as well. This film is a masterpiece about American politics and character. I would recommend this movie to anyone as one of the best films of the year.
