Michael Jackson feat. Janet Jackson: Scream (1995)
Ahead of it's time
Hard to believe it came out in 1995, very modern and daring. A classic that had stood the test of time and still inspiring creatives the world over. The message of the song is still relevant as well.
Leaving Neverland (2019)
Terrible
A terribly scripted, filmed & edited fauxcumentary. The supposed victims and their families are not at all believable, the drone shots are redundant and the music choice questionable. It came across as more of a breakup story from the perspective of bitter ex-lovers than the survivors of a traumatizing experience. After all the hype that surrounded this and all the praise the two men and director Dan Reed received I truly thought it would've been more convicting but it provides zero evidence, only the men and their families reminiscing about their time with Jackson with a bit of shock value thrown in (lest we forget it is supposed to be about child abuse and not a scandalous affair). Would not recommend nor watch again.
