3 from Hell (2019)
Nener again Rob. Never agan.
I loved Rejects and was super excited when I heard about this one; hopping it would be redemption from 31 (CRAP) and Lords Of Salem (crap that gives crap a bad name) but oh hell no, no just more of the same.
Robbie Z must have spent- maybe- twenty minutes on the script while on the toilet with a note pad and a motel 6 stick pen. The acting was average, the story was half- a**ed with nothing new, just retread and tired zombie cliche.
SO much wasted opportunity for love to hate characters like Otis & Baby to ride again.
Zombie owes me the $3.99 i wasted renting this pile of monkey flop.
Werewolves of the Third Reich (2017)
C-Class movie. Dont expect much and not a hidden Gem.
The movie is dull, plodding and visually looks like ww2 re-enactment.The acting is community theater quality, some descent but way too over the top. And no, the werewolf serum looks NOTHING like the Re-animator movies. The CGI are mostly bad, especially the bullet hits and what I think are practical makeup looks like it was purchased at a halloween store and applied by a novice.
The scene with the drill instructor was ripped off from Full Metal Jacket.
If you are a B-movie fan you might like it other wise go watch Silver Bullet from 1985 with Gary Busey and Corey Haim.
Paranoia Tapes (2017)
Garbage. Pure unadulterated garbage.
Please do not watch this garbage. I have seen pre-teens put on back yard monster shows that are better than this crap.
I would like to ask the people reciting their lines in awful monotone and the crew of this trash: are you serious??
Jeepers Creepers 3 (2017)
Not that bad-
Okay, first of all its not that bad- it's NOT great either, but let's look at what it is before we get too judgemental. -Its an above average sequel in a slightly above average horror franchise. We are not dealing with the horror greats here;Steven Speilberg, Tobe Hooper, Romero or Carpenter are not involved.
- The acting is not great, far from it but based on the mount of direct to dvd garbage that relies on community theater grade acting and half-assed CGI this flick fairs better. Barely.
- The plot seems to be the weak point; please stop with the half-assed attempts at humor e.g. the finger wagging no-no as he takes the tow truck driver.
Blood of Dracula's Castle (1969)
Really bad
You can't expect much out of those combo packs of public domain movies that were generally crap when originally released and still crap decades later when repackaged. The quality of the transfer to DVD is very bad, mine had vertical green lines dancing across the screen. As expected the acting and effects are what you would expect for a b- movie. Yes Dracula and his bride are in the movie but they have no fangs and look like they are going to an eternal dinner party. Man-go, who subs as an Igor type character, the butler- menacingly named George and a psycho named Johnny are the real mayhem makers abducting young women for their blood. I thought the heroes (a smart aleck photographer and his model squeeze) were duds and didn't really escape the clutches of a lame band of villains.
Dead Birds (2004)
Potential but nothing really there.
I saw this movie on pay-per view one night when nothing else was on. My biggest complaint came towards the beginning when the confederates rob the bank killing a bunch of people in the process. This made me very unsympathetic towards their plight- frankly, I thought they got what they deserved! All in all it was a creepy movie. I liked the acting, especially Henry Thomas. The behind the scenes stuff was all good and the special effects looked great. I juts wish that the writers would have skipped all the gun play at the bank allowing us too have more sympathy for the Confederates. Call me old fashioned but I like my lead characters to not be thugs.
