Bless the Harts (2019)
First season, lots of potential
I'm so here for the halfway decent NC accents (I'm born and raised) and letting them work out the kinks. I laugh at least twice an episode, when compared to Simpsons is a lot. Love Kumail/Pakistani as Jesus.
Great cast. And way better than simpsons while I wait for bobs burgers to come on.
The Bronze (2015)
USA!
My younger sister was an elite gymnast so this type of movie always catches my eye. I went in with no expectations. Hilarious with an amazing soundtrack. It's vulgar but in the best way possible. I love Sebastian Stan but there is a scene where I can't buy this for my mother that drove my sister an hour each way to gym. I hope Melissa and her husband do more amazing films like this.
Kalifornia (1993)
Overrated
This movie is overacted by everyone. All of these actors grew into amazing ones, but this movie is awkward and the story is slow and boring.
Year One (2009)
Jack black
I watched this as it was free on vudu and I saw JB.
I've never seen him in anything that didn't make my face hurt smiling. As a Catholic, I loved the OT references.
The cast is amazing! Jack, Michael Vera, Paul Rudd, Olivia Wilde.. i can't beleive I didn't hear of this movie before!
Stick It (2006)
The most underrated movie ever
"Good thing I didn't like falling. I loved it"
The athletisicm, writing, cinematography, soundtrack. I was never a gymnast, my younger sister was. Level 10. Thank God or I would have missed this gem.
"It's delicious"
The Handmaid's Tale (2017)
Worthy of the pain
As a chemical engineer working in remediation, the writers are pretty spot on regarding that aspect.
The human aspect is incredibly imaginative, insanely well written, GREAT sci fi, and not far off.
The intro to season 2 is the most powerful/heartbreaking/mind f of tv I have personally ever seen.
I can't wait for season 3
Bob's Burgers: Gayle Makin' Bob Sled (2015)
More Gayle!
The Gayle/Bob interaction is always amazing. It's only the 2nd episode I can think of that is Bob/Gayle centric but the writing PERFECTLY captures one type of family-in-law dynamic.
