The Exterminator: Don Teschio's Revenge (2023)

Vengeance, pure and simple.

This film is much more action-packed and gripping.

The action scenes are truly suspenseful and keep you on the edge of your seat, especially the end of the movie.

As exciting and gripping as this film is, please be fore-warned: the violence shown on screen is not for those with weak stomachs. It's graphic, brutal, edgy and tense.

The cast is great and the CGI is well done.

The sets are amazing, with some good uses of drones, to make more immersive.

If you ever wanted to exact revenge on someone in your own mind or in your dreams go see this movie it is great.

For me it´s a 7, because i think they can do even better, if another one is made.

Jeepers Creepers Returns (2023)

Very good, I love the franchise.

I have a peculiar taste for trash's and horror B movies, having strange deaths, a lot of blood, bizarre beheading scenes.

Savage (Miguel D. Dias) is the main man of the hunter of the creeper, and he takes his seriously, as he talks to the mayor how he will trap and kill the demon.

Loved the scene when the barn explodes, it´s crazy awesome.

The stalking of the kid in the bike, memorable scenes that this movie has.

The Creeper is back for more. By the time you hear him, by the time you see him it's too late. Like a bat out of hell. He can taste your fear. Feed the Fear. Its time has come, once again to track all of them down, with his truck.

A wildly fun horror film for genre fans.

Sith Wars: Episode II - Legacy of the Sith (2022)

The movie opens with the same grand scope as previous films in this new series, Vader calling the shots on the capture of Yoda, obiwan and Jakkai.

The acting was spot on, and all the characters did a good job and we have a lot of them here: Cade Bane, Mando, Boba, Kyria, Jabba, Greedol and Nieb Noon, all secundary characters that connect well with the story.

From the sith lore we have: Revan, Malak, Plagueis, Sidious, Marr, Acolyte, Dark Apprentice, Cyrus, Destoro and Maul, having all of these sith lords we know that not all will make it to the end, but i´ve tried to guess wich ones would die first, and never guessed one.

So the only flaw i thought it had was at the level of character development, it could be more profund to me.

But having the darkside lore in full form here is what i was waiting for since i saw the first one a year ago on their official channel, for me this movie is the perfect bridge between the Jedi Order and the Sith Lore.

Hellbox Origins (2022)

Alastor and the Hellbox the beginning.

A good movie, a unique and twisted tale of darkness and sex, never in a million years i would have guessed what they presented me in this short movie, Alastor with one liners along with Pinhead tearing guys apart.

It´s fun and gory.

Jaws Returns (2021)

A good follow-up to an American classic.

Memorable moments:

The attacks have very gory.

The story is solid; a Great White Shark terrorizes the people of a town.

The dog saved his owner, from gettin eaten.

The fishermans go to sea to catch and kill the monster.

The shark attacks several boats The shark attacks the cage of the diver.

These are the moments i´ve loved from this movie, will watch it again later.

Full of suprises, shocks, breath taking action, and a wonderful score, Listen to my words, and hear my cries, JAWS has returned.

10/10.

The Thing Returns (2021)

A terrific sequel and soon to become an horror gem.

This is a good horror sequel and a good one too, we can really feel the tension between the characters in just about every scene and that there is genius.

The special effects are really good, especially the pratical ones, they are really fun to look at and we can tell what hard work has been put into them, i have seen some goriest films, but this one is a must.

I love the scenes shot in the dark because they fit well with the tone and I do like the lighting in those shots with the girl in the corridor.

It's violent, it's gory, and broadly it may not be for everyone. But this needs to be seen by anyone with the slightest interest in horror, or creature features.

This is the right formula to fear factor.

The Artifact (2021)

A good movie in the sands of Egypt

The dialogue is well written and punchy, this combined with some great characters bring the story to life and it turns out to be a terrific Film.

I was expecting a movie like city of angels, i was so wrong, it´s somewhat a very strange movie, you don´t ever see the protagonist, you only see the angel girl, she has incredible powers of healing, it felt strange to me those scenes, the only scene fascinating, for me, was the flight of the angel, were we see planets and space as he is taken to the world of angels.

A special short movie with a message to the world, but very, very alternative.

Inimigo Desconhecido: Enemy Unknown (2020)

This will become a cult classic in the years to come... loved the alien creature

The movie begins with a team of expert mercenaries dispatched on a rescue mission. These guys are professionals and you do not want to mess with them. They get right to business to get the job done. But when an alien creature from another planet appears on the horizon using some sort of camouflage shield, and a set of special weapons, these mercenaries are in for the last ride of their lifes, soon the creature starts killing them, and all hell breaks loose.

It´s an incredible movie, for the budget it has, and there´s room for a sequel in the post-credits scene, so i´m expecting he will be back, so keep em coming, i want more like this, a new alien creature has arrived and it´s called (The Enemy) hope they clear out what is name is...i don´t want to call him enemy, they gotta come up with a better name. But all in all it´s an 8 for me.

Sinister Dreams (2020)

The burned man strikes again in Portugal.

Some high school kids start dreaming of a scary burned man with knives on his gloves. And soon he starts killing them in their dreams. Fred Krueger is an iconic villain. Greatly done by Robert Englund. Here we are introduced to a new Freddy, this one plays with this girl, for too long, i was waiting for blood, but it´s all scares, and jump sequences, no gore. I may not find this movie scary, but has a tribute to a once perfect slasher villain, i´ll give this a 7. Because we can see here that they´ve tried to come up with something new and fresh, has some good ideas but...it could have been a lot better.

Portuguese Sniper (2020)

The reality for war-time marksmen

Portuguese sniper is very good movie to watch despite the fact that it isn't a great movie or a perfect one because of its minor flaws, but then again not every movie is perfect. The movie stars Rui Constantino that also directs has the portuguese sniper and Pedro Pinecross has the villain mercenary sniper the two of them fight to the death, and with glorious scenes of snipering. This is a fine military action thriller. Acting and casting is great.

Aliens Redemption (2019)

A great redemption to the series

First of all, I'm a sucker for horror and sci-fi movies. Second, I LOVE the Alien series. To me this looks and sounds like the first episode of the announced tv series, that Disney is going to trow at us, next year. I´m good with that, if not...just stick with this movie and you will have a blast, i did.

Refuge 2099 (2019)

An enjoyable popcorn flick

The invasion starts as soon as credits roll, them we see John gettin out of bed only to see the forces of the plunderers on parachutes (great homage here to Red Dawn). They did a good job of keeping the story moving forward without getting boring at times. All in all it was an enjoyable film for what it is, and even though it had its far fetched moments like John clearing the stairs of his bulding and killing 20 soldiers, just like Rambo on last blood, there is also a good balance between action and dialogue, with a few humorous scenes. And it also leaves room for a sequel.

Go enjoy the movie!

The Call 2 (2019)

Fairly entertaining sequel

It is a fairly entertaining sequel directed by Rui Constantino. The movie's horror theme is solidly played out with some tight direction. Constantino´s gives this movie some well-done moments of shock and dark humor. The film boasts some bloody FX, has some plot holes but is also entertaining, with the use of great special effects. The atmosphere is very dark, sequels usually have a hard time in hoping to be as good as the original and the above film is no exception.

A solid 7 out of 10.

Um Dia Negro 2: Estrada De Sangue (2019)

Great follow-up, was skeptical when I bought this movie since I watched the first one, the special effects in this movie are spectacular especially in the final scene. Remember this one will change what you think about sequels and direct to video movies. Is that great.

Hellbox 2: The Dark Dimension (2019)

A Solid Sequel, True to the Original

It´s the perfect sequel in the horror genre, if you like a movie with a charismatic bad guy and if you enjoyed the 1st movie, then i would definitely say "give it a watch!" The special effects were not the greatest, but what the hell, it´s a b-movie.
