Nude Tuesday (2022)
9/10
fantastic piece of art
12 June 2022
I liked it a lot. I was gonna stop there since i'm not great with words but for this to count it has to contain 150 characters so here we go.

I think the score was fantastic. The story was so beautiful. Our two leads were astonishing and the characters going on completely different journeys only to arrive at the same conclusion is brilliant. Idk i loved it.

Well there's my review. I hope you enjoyed it. Bye :)

Uncharted (2022)
5/10
Uncharted was more than an action/adventure movie
19 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What made the games so fantastic was the characters and their relationships with eachother. People loved and were invested with Nate, Sully and Elena, that's why they watched. It was different than any other treasure hunting piece of media

the movie completely lost that. They were focused more on the action that they replaced all the heart and wit that developed these characters in the game with quirky one-liners that aren't nearly as funny as in the games.

It's fine as an action movie, but as an adaption it falls short. I know it was a prequel to the games but they changed almost all of when we previously knew about Nates life before the events of the first game (how/when he met sully, what happened to sam, how he got the necklace, how/when he met chloe) so why even bother making a movie adaption of the game? Just make an action movie - the cutscenes in the game are already a flawless movie when put together.

I think Tom Holland did a good job, but I never really bought him as Nate. Sully was a completely different character, and their father-son dynamic doesn't appear until the last 10 minutes of the movie. I think changing the fact of Nate meeting Sully in Columbia while trying to steal Sir Francis' ring (which in the film he got from Sam ??) and saving him from Katherines goons to him just showing up at a bar saying "i knew your brother" (Nates a bartender and Sully is "friends" with Sam in the movie ??) was a huge mistake and ultimately ruined their father-son dynamic before it began.

In short, it's an extremely forgettable film. The only reason it's getting 10's here is bc Tom Holland stans are positive-bombing it.

Pretty Smart (2021)
5/10
meh
13 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'll start by saying the writing needs some help. But you can't expect much from a sitcom still using laugh tracks

the cast has potential, but the writing for them is meh. Especially for claire and grant. I feel like for some parts they play the "dumb but pretty" schtick but later in the episode they'll be normal (and they completely ditched that for grants character which i'm happy about)

the only saving grace for me was emily osment and gregg sulkins chemistry. BUT. You CAN NOT develop a mutual attraction in less than 10 episodes for a show like this. THIS ISNT FLEABAG.

The show had potential but i think they completely ruined it by getting those two "together" too soon. Haven't you heard of a slow burn?

Also chelsea is not likable. They should really work on her character.

The majority of the episodes just felt like dead air, not developing any characters or relationships (except maybe jayden) so the reveal in the last episode that chelsea and grant liked eachother was such a surprise especially considering how quick he got over her sister.

Jeez this show had so much potential. The characters are so diverse and fun but so unlikable and boring at the same time.

Love Hard (2021)
5/10
Pretty Solid
5 November 2021
Solid. Not great - i would have given it a six but i added a star bc i'm in love with jimmy yang.

It had a decent script - the acting wasn't bad either, i just don't think there were enough moments where the audience is supposed to see their relationship grow. I could tell Josh was falling for her but the abrupt ending of Natalie realizing it seemed a bit forced and out of place, they focused too much on her relationship with Darrens character. The ending inspired by love actually and die hard was pretty cute, but I wish the two leads had more developed chemistry.

Solid romcom, probably the best one ive seen in recent years so i really cant rate it too harshly. I hope jimmy and nina are in more romcoms - maybe not with eachother but they're both super cute and charming enough.
