Pretty Freekin Scary (2023)

One of the best new TV shows I've seen in quite some time!

I like the way this show is set up. Many shows of this type would be filmed on location without a laugh track. This show is a combination of a standard sitcom and a spooky-themed series.

Some episodes mainly revolve around normal activities at the middle school, while others have more action. The use of a laugh track does work here, as the writing for the show is top-notch. Episodes are interesting, with a lot of humor and sometimes danger. I like the way the main characters are introduced and how they become fast friends.

This series is something special, with an excellent cast.

Great Characters. Well-acted. Funny. (Scary can be downright hilarious!) What's not to like?

I look forward throughout the week to watching new episodes every Friday night. (I haven't felt this way about a show in a long time.) This is easily the best show I have reviewed to date. I hope it will be on for many seasons.

Easily 10 out of 10 stars!

Drama Club (2021)

The more I watch it, the more I like It!

I had to get used to this show. It has an unusual style. I quickly started to appreciate it. It's DIFFERENT!!! (In the age of standard, generic sitcoms different is good.) The show is filmed on location at an actual school and not on a set, which is nice! Original, funny, and underrated! I will keep watching!

Side Hustle (2020–2022)

I really like this show! The characters are very likable. A lot of the jokes are quite funny. The theme song sequence looks and sound awesome! (I wish it were a bit longer.) I've seen four episodes. I like the stories so far and the direction the show is taking. The episodes are fun and very watchable.

This is a decent show. It has a good cast and story lines that are great! I hope this show gets a fair chance to make it. I think it is very underrated!

Upside-Down Magic (2020 TV Movie)

This is a Good Movie!!!

I wasn't sure how good this movie was going to be. I figured it might be o.k. or just middle of the road. It was a lot better than expected.

It obviously has the Harry Potter vibe with the school of magic. This theme has been done a number of times. I will not be comparing this to other movies. I prefer to judge each movie on its own merits.

The students are there to learn and enhance their magical abilities, but this story has an interesting spin on the familiar theme. Some of the students (known as UDMs) have a hard time controlling their magic. It is considered erratic and dangerous and they are literally being kept there to protect humanity. In addition, they are thought to be more susceptible to dark magic (shadow magic) taking them over.

A movie like this could have easily been ruined if it wasn't taken seriously enough, but that is not the case here. The cast is excellent and the acting is solid throughout. The characters are likable and have good chemistry with one another. I really enjoyed the scenes with the villain (Chandra). This part could have easily been overplayed, but that doesn't happen here..There is no wild, maniacal laughing or campy antics. The performance is low-key, giving it a more creepy and threatening feel. This is played equally well when the main character Reina is temporarily taken over. The climax is exciting. The reaction of the students and staff is panicky and chaotic, making it look much more realistic. Each group is desperately trying to stop the shadow monster with no luck, until the UDMs arrive on the scene.

Everyone has different likes and opinions, as it should be. With that said, I don't think this movie deserves some of the 'severely' negative reviews it's getting. This is not a movie that was hastily thrown together. It is well written, looks great, and the acting is top-notch. By the end of this movie, I found myself wanting to see more!

This movie offers more than meets the eye. You might consider giving this one a closer look. I'm glad I did!

Kim Hushable (2019– )

Love It!!!

These mini episodes are awesome! The segments are well written and look really good! Exciting, fun, and action-packed! You get a lot of story in a short amount of time. I really like the library setting. I hope they play these on Disney Channel or release them on DVD in the future. Can't wait to see more!!!

Disney Channel Stars: Legendary (2018 TV Short)

This video just looks and sounds incredible! The editing and choreography are excellent! The song itself is riveting! Positive message. I wish Disney Channel would play it again (in its entirety). Probably the best music video I have ever seen! Totally cool!!!
