Steven Universe: The Movie (2019)
Disappointing Send-off
A very disappointing send-off to a legendary series.
A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017)
Perfection
I've been a fan of Mr. Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events series since I could read (literally since I could read). I went into this series thinking it would be terrible, given Netflix's poor track record with "originals." I was sorely mistaken. This show not only obeys the lore of the books, but also expands upon it in an unobtrusive manner. Every part of this show is expertly crafted, and the actors are wonderful.
The Emoji Movie (2017)
Almost As Bad As People Say
There's nothing I could say that hasn't already been said. The only reason I didn't give this movie a 1/10 is because the animation is actually good.
Caillou (1997)
Grain of Salt
Take this review with a grain of salt, as I am probably blinded by nostalgia.
I liked the show a lot when I was younger; I would watch it with my father all the time when I was a kiddywink. It was one of my favorite shows to watch. However, I really don't think it ever taught me anything. Still, it was a good way to pass the time.
SeeFood (2011)
The Movie Should Stay In Davy Jone's Locker
This was, by far, one of the most atrociously boring movies I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. The only two redeemable qualities about it are the surprisingly competent visuals and the environmental issues it raises.
Rogue One (2016)
Mostly Boring, But An Excellent Finale
The majority of this movie was boring in my opinion, but the last few portions of the movie were wonderful. The actors were absolutely amazing, and I loved the characters. K2-S0 was also quite amusing. The movie was worth watching to see the finale, but that still doesn't excuse how boring the first half of the movie was.
The final scene of the movie was one of the greatest scenes in the entirety of Star Wars.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Alden Ehrenreich's Work Here Is Commendable
Alden Ehrenreich's portrayal of Han Solo was as well done as it possibly could have been. He did amazing as Han Solo, and considering Harrison Ford was so ingrained in my mind as Han Solo, I consider this an achievement. The movie didn't feel like it dragged on at all, and I genuinely enjoyed it.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
Good Movie, Bad Star Wars Movie
I'm a devout Star Wars fan. Did I hate this movie? No. Did I hate this as a Star Wars movie? Yes. However, as a reviewer, I must judge this movie based on how good of a MOVIE it was, not how good of a STAR WARS movie it was. The new trilogy spitting upon the expanded universe has nothing to do with how good of a movie this was. I loved the movie. Several parts could've been done without (such as the Kantobyte section of the movie; it was unneccesary but did not drag on for too long).
I'd suggest watching the movie with an open mind. It had jokes that I considered very amusing, and it's extremely pleasing to the eye.
