Pathaan (2023)
Overhypped
Pathaan is an honest try of YRF to set up a action thrilled spy universe.
The movie follows the story of Pathaan (SRK) and how he is able overcome an ex-agent gone rouge Jim (John Abraham).
Things they just got it right:
1) The presence of SRK on screen after 4 years is refreshing
2) The background score of the movie is really catchy and keeps you pumped up during the movie.
3) All the hand to hand combat sequence of the movie have been perfectly choreographed.
4) Acting:
SRK: He had an amazing presence in the movie.
Deepika: Deepika has looked really good in the movie and the action sequence performed by Deepika are one of my favorite part of the movie.
Dimple Kapadia: Dimple Kapadia has proven again how good she is given any role in the industry, her performance is something to watch for in this movie,
Ashutosh Rana: Its always good to see Ashutosh Rana on screen. Seeing him back as Colonel Sunil Luthra was a perfect way to incorporate "War" in the spy universe. He played his role with full conviction.
John Abraham: He was the lime light of the movie. His charisma, his attitude, his physique, his style over shadows everything and everyone in the movie. He is Back..
John playing Jim was the perfect casting by YRF. Reminded me of Dhoom and Race 2 where he played as an antagonist and his capability to make the audience fall in love with antagonist over the whole cast.
Things that went wrong:
1) Character of the protagonist (Pathaan) was very poor. He had the patriotism and all looked like a veteran but the forced goofy part was just not clicking with audience and in one or two instance it is even pointed out that he would do anything to save a teammate's life then catch the antagonist and let him escape, i get the fact that every life is important but a spy would always think of thousands of lives that will get affected if the antagonist is allowed to just leave. This is suppose to be a patriotic, spy and action movie, just saying.
2) VFX: I dont know what the budget was for the movie but in certain action sequence is not at par. I have seen almost all of the action movies made by YRF, It was below there standard is all i have to say.
3) Unnecessary love angle; the love angle between is SRK and Deepika was not at all needed in this movie. My personal advise is that you can show coworkers having a Mutual respect and have better impact than making them fall in love. There is a movie in the same franchise "WAR" for reference.
4) Dialogues: The dialogues are just not clicking with times we are living in. They are way over the top and certainly not in the right environment.
5) Story: I cant say it was a bad script, but it could have been way better, there were many instances where I could anticipate what is going to happen next.

Decoupled (2021)
disgusting, disaster highly problematic
Seriously what is this. Very disappointing story obsessed with western ideology. They are promoting open marriage for sex. Characters are dull looks like they want sex everytime. Is this what we have to see as a series . Sorry we want series like kota factory, movies like minakshi sundareshwar etc.
