After watching years of trash coming out of Hollywood I've believed writing was a lost art, never to be seen again. I had low expectations for House of Usher, and my goodness, what a glorious surprise. The characters are all written with depth, and the actors performances allow you to fully know them, sparking emotional connection with them all. There's enough jump scares to call this a horror film but deep drama is a better description. All of the characters deliver and the pacing is perfect. Gripping the entire time. Netflix has produced some garbage but this is a breath of fresh air. It will keep you engaged right up to the somewhat predictable, but still satisfying end.

The Foreigner
(I) (2017)
Not a typical Chan movie
7 July 2022
Excellent action, a fantastic story, and a role that you wouldn't think Jackie Chan is the right guy for. I happened on to this while cruising Netflix trying g to find something to watch. It's a breath of fresh air. Pierce Brosnan does the villain in an excellent manner.
The Terminal List
(2022– )
Packed with action
7 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Terminal list is a fast paced, action adventure with the protagonist dealing out justice for the murders of his comrades and family. Chris Pratt kills the role as a Navy Seal bent on making those responsible pay. There's no woke BS, just action and scum meeting well deserved deaths. Critics hate it which was all the motivation I needed to start watching it. In a world that more and more hates men, acting like men, this is a breath of fresh air. Another excellent watch.
The Endless
(I) (2017)
An Effective Sequel To The Resolution
16 June 2022
Two low budget sci-fi thrillers, The Resolution, and The Endless make for a great journey when viewed back to back. I was left wanting more after viewing The Resolution, but The Endless filled in the gaps and made it complete. Low budget but great movie making top to bottom.
Terror on the Prairie
(2022)
Really Gritty
16 June 2022
A fantastic performance from Gina Carano and another home run from The Daily Wire. It doesn't take a monster budget, massive CGI, or a woke storyline to please an audience. A really engaging story and portrays a solid female heroine. Nick Searcy gives an outstanding performance as a truly evil and heartless thug. Well worth seeing.
Love and Monsters
(2020)
Actually Quite Inspiring
16 June 2022
Here you have a quirky sci-fi comedy that strangley is quite an inspiring story of survival, love, achievement, and heroism. The performances are excellent and as I've watched it again I've found myself liking it even more. It's an old fashioned hero story with a twist. You will enjoy it.
What Is a Woman?
(2022)
Worth a watch even for those with a closed mind
5 June 2022
Matt Walsh and The Daily Wire nail it once again. Hard hitting interviews that will change the feelings of those who take the time to watch it, but sadly, some won't. No bigotry here, just facts, interviews with affected parties, and a showcase of people willing to scream ideals, without having a clue what they're talking about. Really worth a look.
Run Hide Fight
(2020)
Effective & Emotional
30 May 2022
A strong woman meets a scumbag loser and defines good and evil along the way. Its a Formula movie but a Formula done effectively by The Daily Wire. Standing up against evil and risking ones life for a greatest good is unabashedly an American trait. Great performances and proof you don't need a huge budget and FX to make a great movie.
Top Gun: Maverick
(2022)
No Woke
30 May 2022
All action, all testosterone, no woke. I'm surprised to see Holloywood can still make movies. I'd given up on that. Cruise is looking a little long in the tooth but the entire adventure works brilliantly. I will actually pay to see this again
Thank God for that.
Thank God for that.
Resolution
(III) (2012)
Basically unsatisfying
27 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Nicely crafted until the end when it give up on itself with a cliché ending. Character development is above average for a low budget flick. The story line is great and moves steadily but crashes right at the end. The Native Americans who own the land seem unconcerned about whatever sinister is going on. That's a big plot hole. I'm hoping for more in The Endless followup movie.
