Vahsi Kan (1983)
Turkish imitation of Rambo-First Blood.
Produced by Anit Ticaret owned by Mehmet Karahafiz. Cetin Inanc produced this movie with same casting as The Man who saves the world. With the same casting he produced a lot of b-movies. Mostly were imitation movies from Hollywood. Cuneyt Arkin (also known as George Arkin or Steve Arkin) is a star of this action movie.
This is not the first imitation Rambo movie of this director, he made also another Rambo imitation movie : Serdar (actor of this movie was a body builder).
The story is same as Rambo-First Blood. But casting is not professional. There is nothing more to write about this movie. It is a b-action movie with Turkish sense of action and erotic.
Turist Ömer Uzay Yolunda (1973)

Turkish Star Trek ?
In the seventies Marvel comics and Italian comics were very popular in Turkey. Turkish movie producers saw that they could earn some money from this opportunity. They made a lot of quick and low budget comic's movies as superman, zagor, phantom, captan America etc . All these movies had a simple story and bad casting. But this movie is different. First of all the production company was a powerful movie company. They knew what Turkish people liked. They knew that Turkish people like Star Trek. They knew also that Turkish people like Turist Omer character. If they could bring these two items together than the movie would be a great success.
Star Trek was a hit in Turkey. There were nobody on streets when Turkish TV was broadcasting Star Trek.
Turist Omer was a character played by Sadri Alisik. This character made this actor famous. You can compare with Charlie Chaplin.
It was a success. They earned a lot of money and they also sold this movie to foreign countries like Germany (where 3 million Turkish society living). The story is borrowed from an episode of Star Trek. Turist Omer was buzzed from earth to a planet by a mad doctor.
I can recommend this movie to all Star Trek fans and also to everyone who likes cult and foreign movies. If you like this movie try than also Yilmayan Seytan. .
Huang jia shi jie (1985)
Rothrock + Yeoh = Dead Dealing Action!
The first chapter of this movie (In the Line of Duty 1) was a hit in Asia in the '80 years. So the producer company (D&B: famous producer company of martial arts and Made in Hong Kong movies) decided to make a sequel.
Michelle Yeoh (Khan) is not a real martial arts expert like Cynthia Rothrock. M.Yeoh was a Chinese ballet. Cynthia Rothrock was 5 years undefeated female karate champion of USA.
The story is simple. But the action scenes are perfect. What would you except more than action from these two dangerous-dead dealing women? They are showing us all their martial arts techniques. If you like martial arts movies then this is your `must to see movie'.
If you decide to watch this movie then find a Cantonese version. English translated version is very bad. Check out for Rothrock 's Scottish accent in English version. I would like to know who made this terrible translating in English.
Also recommend for all Cynthia Rothrock fans, like me.Michelle Yeoh is still the best partner of Cynthia Rothrock. .I hope that Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock ever will play in a movie again.
Dünyayi Kurtaran Adam (1982)
Best Turkish Cult Movie
This is the best cult movie that I have ever seen.
If you watch a cult movie you don't need to think about the movie, you can just watch it.
First of all I saw two versions of this movie. First version is about 90 minutes and the other one is about 115 minutes. The story is simple but perfect for a cult movie: The earth divides in to meteors after a nuclear war. Now Cuneyt Arkin and his friend Aytekin Akkaya has to fight against unknown enemy (the man with wooden prickles on his head!!!) who is looking for human brains!!! He will use them to destroy the human kind.
With a small budget, director Cetin Inanc (Turkish cult movie director) tried to make a movie, which can race with American SF movies. He had no chance to win this race but he already knew that. He borrowed some pictures and soundtracks from famous American movies like Starwars etc.
When I had an interview with Cetin Inanc he told me that they did this movie for a prestige. They wanted to show everyone that they also can make a SF movie in Turkey. At the end of the interview he said to me: `If someone can make better one than this, he has to attempted for !'
I liked this movie. It is amazing and funny. You don't need to use your brains to watch this movie. You can just watch and enjoy it! I recommend it to every cult movie fan. The performance of Cuneyt Arkin (George Arkin) is wonderful. If you cannot find this movie just look it in Europe. It is available in Germany. For another questions about this movie you can send me a mail. I will try to answer your question.
If you like this Turkish cult movie try than also Turist Omer Uzay Yolunda ` Tourist Omer: Star Trek'.
