The Archies (2023)

Mediocre va va voom.

The hate the new comers are getting is uncalled for. It's just their first movie. They obviously have to keep working very hard.

And the movie literally based in an Anglo-Indian community, the language used is just fine.(Appropriate enough for the Indianess...but also for the generation it is set in)

The movie on the other hand tried their best to make it this generation appropriate but failed in all except the fashion and maybe the musical side.

The storyline is tried too many times at this point, even schools perform this for their plays.

The direction was good as expected out of the star director.

Overall a great movie to watch to pass the time or a movie to watch during meals.

An amazing inspiring underrated series.

This is one those shows very rarely made in the Chinese drama industry.

Not a popular show due to it not having any internet famous stars or the fluffy cheesy plot. And set in the pandemic era. It still is an amazing drama with three main female leads going through about life as women in this world. It does not force the idea about female problems but instead gives the problems a more daily outlook. We have divorcee trying to find a place in workplace along with finding someone to trust again, we have the successful executive who is not so successful in her old relationship wanting someone to just make her feel normal and then we have the daughter pressured to get marries who is fired from her IT and wants to start her own business in something she is dreamt of her whole life. Thus in short this series is a outlook for problems faced by women at regular basis without pushing it right at our face.

All in all a must watch drama with an amazing non glamorous cast which we can relate to .and a plot worth falling in love with. And bonus just a few episodes.

A TRUE BREAK FROM ALL YOUR MAINSTREAM C-DRAMAS.

Taxi Driver (2021– )

Excellent series

A top-notch series. With amazing and inspiring storyline, characters and Production.

Even those who dont understand or are against the whole "vigilante / Robin Hood /Batman" stance will also go soft after understanding each revenge story.

The characters both the criminals and victims, make you wonder about the laws and situations in your own country.... And what each victim and their family go through.

All in all , an excellent and eye-opening Korean Drama.

Would love a season 2. :) ....... Storyline 9.5/10 Cast 10/10 Direction 10/10 Characters 9/10

A MUST WATCH.

One Ordinary Day (2021– )

A beautiful remake.

A series which will keep you hooked from the first episodes. Even if you have not watch the original, you are still going to love it.

The actors have done a terrific job is portraying the right emotions, from the main leads to the supporting cast.

The way you could clearly see the growth of the Lead from an innocent man to a man who was Ill-treated by the injustice the judiciary caused him, hats off to Kim Soo Hyun for yet again proving why he is one of the top actors today.

The defense Lawyer played by Cha Seung Won was outstanding and it was refreshing to see a out of the box character with his "skills" and yet again phenomenal acting.

The whole cast deserves much more recognition The Direction, Writing and Production is excellent.

8 episodes was perfectly just enough.

Storyline 9.5/10 Cast 10/10 Direction 10/10 Character 9.5/10.

The Silent Sea (2021)

A Decent yet dry (no pun) Watch

This series starring a star studded job does a pretty good job for those who are not big Sci-fi geeks.

The reviews are probably from users who definitely know their way in the Sci-fi , interstellar world.

The series is a decent series. A generic and stretchy, slow paced but still makes you want to watch all the episodes.

If you don't go about comparing it to the big Hollywood Space movies, you will kinda like it.

Would want more of the backstories of each character though and also a more deeper look into the water. And the inequalities on earth.

Cast acting 10/10 Direction 10/10 Storyline 7/10 CGI 7/10.

My Name (2021)

A Excellent yet underwhelming series.

HONEST OPINION The direction along with the skills of actors Is excellent. But unfortunately the storyline gets quite predictable and this makes it seem like almost every other revenge story.

But otherwise (if you are watching it, not for the storyline) My NAME is quite good.

Basically this series is perfect if you want to just watch a short bingeable Action series from Netflix.

You Are My Hero (2021)

Excellent C-drama that makes you fall in love with characters

A very well written and balanced plot along with a great chemistry among the actors.

Great Plot.

It showed a very pure soft yet lovable side of romance which is rare to see among the fast paced romantic dramas.

This drama easily portrayed a what a great sense of duty balanced with love life , should look like, which is very inspiring to watch.

The whole cast was absolutely Perfect.

Though the 40 episodes may scare some, it is actually a wonderfully well executed, written drama with each episode bringing something new. Unlike the other dramas.

All in all a Hidden Gem and A MUST WATCH.

Eye opening. Must watch

Must watch series from Netflix KOREA.

1. The problems are most definitely real and you will sympathize with every character.

2. I did not actually expect the series to be funny ....but it was.

3. The CHEMISTRY between the actors is everything.

Even the Cameos and the whole cast was excellent.

Especially the relationship between the two leads.

4. The storyline was unique but (seemed) very much true ,and even inspiring at a point.

5. You might even cry.

For everyone who wants to watch a slice of life, real, non-romantic, a binge watchable series this is IT.

Children of Nobody (2018–2019)

A topic which needs more attention. An under-rated KDRAMA.

This series delve right into how traumatic and hard a child's life can be with abusive families. You at a point actually resonate and pity the "killer" but need to keep reminding yourself it is still wrong to kill.

The ACTORS HAVE OUTDONE THEMSELVES especially the FL. I had goosebumps at the intensity and skills of the child actors.

A MUST WATCH if you like cases and dramas on such sensitive topics . Basically this is a show with brilliant writing, acting and smooth storyline, with IMPORTANCE TO ISSUES WHICH NEED TO BE TALKED ABOUT.

Night in Paradise (2020)

Keeps you in front of your screen.

I went in knowing that you will have a backstory but revenge kind of action. This movie was dark and was slow but I did not want to stop watching.

I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a revenge action movie yet with this air filled with sadness and longing.

It was a brutal yet satisfying ending (for me atleast)

This Drama truly was an emotional Rollercoaster. The Actors did such a good job and were perfect for the roles...the emotions they portrayed actually makes you want to keep watching them. All in all A MUST RECOMMEND for any kdrama lover.
